Muddy Funker
Nothing surprises me from some of the American hunters anymore Hopefully this hasn't been posted before, enjoy.
Cranfield
I am sure that if we could do that, many would like to try.
Guest The Outlaw
They should train the dogs to pick up the lost arrows as well. Tony
JohnGalway
I haven't watched the video as I am on dial up. But, having seen bowhunting DVD's, mostly coyotes and bobcats, I would do it here if it were legal.

Shame you can't see the vid It's a few hunters actually shooting at pheasents on the wing after they've been driven into the air by dogs, then if they miss with the arrow they blatt away with shotguns. I thought I'd seen it all haha.
NorfolkBoy
MuddyFunker Glad to read your open minded views of foreign hunting culture Personally I don't hunt with a bow but that doesn't mean I knock those that do. By the way what do you normally flush birds with if not dogs??? Best rgds NB.

The reason why I mentioned dogs flushing the birds is because i'm describing the video to another member that can't see the clip. I posted the video because I thought it was different, surprising and quite humourous, but I guess some people just need to lighten up? bunnybasher07
I think that would be good fun with a crossbow, but i think you will have to be in the middle on no where because the arrow will travel some distance ... anyways nice video good shot at the end GM

tikkamark
they are pretty useless shots both with bow and shotgun took at least 3 shots for most of the cocks that got up and when they finally hit the bird with the arrow it continued on for a long distance even then it was still alive when they picked it up
Sundowner
Well I have a compound bow with a draw weight of about 55lbs (finger shooter, 3 of them anyway) and heck, I would not be fast enough to hit anything but a target. I shot a rabbit with a bow in Spain, but I was lucky the blighter sat down at the time! I came from archery all the way to a shotgun and therefore appreciate the skill involved. My guess would be that some people would benefit from the disciplin involved. Before you knock , try it yourself (directed at those who go on about the "mad yanks", so if the jacket fits,..............!!!!)
kipper
Not my cup of tea , But each to there own. I was impressed by the working dog though. kipper
BigGun1
It was ok to watch right up to the point that the hillbilly shot a phesant from about 10 feet away, not sporting, not funny not ammused. Show some respect for your quarry!

bunnybasher07
or you could borrow van helsings crossbow :yp: (a think thats how you spell it) .. but the shotguns are a bit OTT some birds get about 5 shots into them before they go down GM
ShaggyRS6
Im with you on this one. Love to do that. A huge amount of skill.
Suffolk shooter
At what point was walking right up to a pheasant and then shooting it with Bow or gun, sporting or respecting the quarry Really can't see the attraction at all. Even if it were at driven birds, there would be too many winged and suffering birds. By the way that's not the only video where the yanks shot them before they have taken off five feet. They just don't have a clue. At that range if you hit it you can't eat it, so whats the point, they're not vermin you have to get rid of. Sorry those who want to try it, but lets get real about respect for quarry shall we. Rant over SS
wildbill
the only one they did hit with the bow was still alive when they were waving it infront of the camera 0%- respect 100%- Inbred hillbilly
