hughiep
I have a lamping kit for sale and got this pm of a new user called mama, ime awaiting country of origin. Hello I am interested in buying the Lamping Kit, Deben Tracer Mini lamp that you have placed for sell now, and I would want to enquire about the present condition of the above mentioned, as well as some detail about you. I expect this timely enough. As for the payment, I would need you to get back in touch with the last asking price as I will be paying with a certified cheque. Lastly, please forward to me your full company's (or house address, telephone and fax) details as I will subsequently prefer reaching you through these facilities. Yours interestingly, Raymond Griffiths Should you need to reply to me, Please get back in touch with your details to me at:xxxxxxxxxxxxxx@yahoo.com for a quick reply. If Raymond is genuine and ive offended you sorry..but i have my doubts !!!!! It has all the traits of a nigerian scam to me like...pm was through this site by the way so beware. Vegeta
tough one to call alright but unless you receive payment (which clears in the bank) then don't send any kit I realise even giving your address to a potential scammer is dodgy. SO ask him for his number, if he is genuine and after a conversation maybe give him your address and await payment If it is a scam maybe he was silly enough to spam loads of people and you'll find out sharpish if he is genuine my 2 cents anyway
sandersj89
Looks like they only joined today, in the middle of the night. The lanuage is a little strange, have you asked the Mod team if they can run their eye over his acount, it may show up something.

BrowningBoy
Dodgy, note the news this week on how Jeremy clarkson got stung by some one who had that type of info. Set up a pay pal account and let them pay you there, they don't need your address or even your full name to buy things from you (eBay would got out of business if they did) so they have no reason for asking. Bad advice letting him pay via paypal, once he receives the goods he can reverse the payment by setting up an "unauthorized payment" or "Item not received" case. berettaman1
Why dont you tell him you have 25 million dollars US, and if he gives you all his bank details you will pay it into his account and let him keep 10%?
salisburykeeper
I have to filter through a lot of scams from africa and yahoo email accounts seem to be the main culprits on my clients accounts, several scams around at the moment to gain your personal details for identity theft, typically most people have had the 10% of 50 million type of scam for cashing a cheque. My advice is block them from your email and report as a phishing scam it only takes a cheque from you with your name and address on and they can easily access your account by standing order payments for whatever price they decide to take from you and your chances of being re-embursed from the bank are slim or after a lenthy fight of the bank trying to blame you! pin
Very common :- http://www.apacs.org.uk/payments_industry/...nt_fraud_2.html The usual form is to offer to pay more than the asking price, offer you a slice of the difference and try and get the remainder sent back. Gordon R
Sadly, I deal with this type of scam for a living. Whilst many of us laugh, there are always those who fall for it. It may seem stupid and badly put together, but trust me, if it did not work, they would not persist with it. Underestimate them at your peril.
