ShaggyRS6
You decided. But a cracking answer by the Head Of Police - Its all the bullets we had. http://www.newsweek.com/id/45310
sidibear
Personally I am very happy that scum like that can no longer comit crime, he deserved everything he got, and I hope it was slow and painful. Race has nothing to do with it, he killed the officer at point blank range, he deserved to die. Nothing stops you re offending like fatal gunshot wounds What would have happened if they had taken him alive? Some overpaid smartass lawyer would have got him a short sentence thats what. Nothing stops you re offending like fatal gunshot wounds
ironhorse
The police did there duty plain and simple
Bradders
101 shots 68 hits....someone needs to go get some practice on the range......espescially as he was probably laying "dead" still after the first couple of dozen. Can't argue with their direct approach though.....bullets are cheaper than a court case, death row ,and an execution.
benelli 1
I guess they just wanted to make sure he was dead
death from below
race card being played as usual......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......never mind that he was a murdering scum bucket
al4x
come on if we went out fox shooting and used 100 bullets what would be said! The argument is did they just shoot him dead or use him for target practice because he'd killed one of their colleagues? You don't see our armed response guys using that sort of number of rounds even in tube carriages
Cranfield
come on if we went out fox shooting and used 100 bullets what would be said! If it was some of us, that would mean we had shot 100 foxes.
Gordon R
The man was a murderer, black, white, green - does it matter. Why drag race into it? He killed someone - others killed him. It is a sign of the times that there is a complaint about the number of bullets used. Would they have been happy with three or four, so long as he was dead. Another idiot asks why he wasn't taken alive - you have to laugh. He had killed a dog, a Deputy Sheriff and could have killed more. To top it all - the family already have an attorney. Perhaps their thoughts should be with the Deputy's friends and family. He was just doing his job.
Vegeta
Definitely not excessive. 10 man SWAT team + automatic weapons = lots of bullets If each dude fired 4, three round bursts that's 12 bullets each, which equals 120 for the squad. 20 bullets or 200 bullets the result would have been the same so what do they care. If someone is actively shooting at cops what does he expect.
AdamC
Saw this story a couple of weeks and thought you couldn't have scripted a better response! "That was all the bullets we had".
Big_Sam
Not too much force in my books, he was a threat and a danger as well as a murder, 110 rounds is cheaper than a grand jury....
paulf
10 guys with automatic weapons and one dangerouse armed murderer. Who wouldnt wouldnt have fired to kill in the circumstances. Typically the family claim he was a saint and play the race card.
sidibear
If they were firing 9mm and they didn't hit anything vital then he wouldn't die straight away. My uncle is an ex swat in Idaho, he carried two guns, 9mm Glock that was his service pistol and a .45 colt. I took the **** saying he was trying to be Rambo, he replied that a guy high on drugs once ran out of a house with a machete and he emptied the mag of the Glock into him without effect, eventually beating him over the head with the butt to stop him. The .45 was in case it happened again, the .45 would stop him for definite. So the moral is, you don't needs lots of bullets, just the right calibre
MC
Surely that depends on where you shoot them. A 9mm bullet anywhere vital and it's game over. The other 67 are just to be on the safe side.
CARBINE
That race card gets up my **** its just a load of legalized ****
sidibear
That race card gets up my **** its just a load of legalized **** Well, if a particular race wants to comit crime and get shot they only have themselves to blame. Its Darwinian, natural selection and all that
monkeyjaimz
IMO the guy got exactly what he deserved, it's alright saying that it was overkill etc but there was no need for him to shoot an officer several times and then twice more in the head point blank one less scumbag nutter in the world and we're one car length up in traffic - winner
Tel Time
dead cop killer so not excessive force then, and the rest where just target practice...
