AdamW
I think it would be a good idea for stories like these to also publish the serial numbers of the guns to help track them down.. Adam

MM
you would hope the local RGD's have been informed ect, but the chance of them being found more than likely, about 1ft cut off, and into the hands of a wrong'un.

Every month, a list of lost/stolen SGC's, FAC's and details of stolen/lost guns with serial numbers are circulated to RFD's by poice HQ's. pin
I think most people accept if someone wants something you have and they are prepared to go to extremes they will get whatever it is. You just have to wonder how "good" a criminal this was, I mean having to do this to get hold of a 12 bore, not exactly hard to come by. You just have to wonder how "good" a criminal this was, I mean having to do this to get hold of a 12 bore, not exactly hard to come by. What you have to keep in mind is that you can get shot for your mobile these days. The bullet probably costs more than the phone is worth! That's just the way things are going. We had a garden bench to get rid of once. We put a free to collector note on it and put it by the road, no luck. So I put a pathetic little chain around it and half hid it behind the wall, it was gone in two days
Cranfield
Stolen shotguns are rarely sold in the "legal" market place, as the serial numbers are notified to RFD's and all FLO's. Anyone attempting to register those numbers would be picked up.

He filled it with engine parts, lawn mower bits, you name it. He was kept amused for two days watching people taking bits out and putting bits in, he said at the end of two days, when they came to collect the skip, there was not a thing left that he had put in, but the skip was still full! He even found some usefull bits in it!

HeadShotHoncho
I heard a rumour around my place that a shop that was getting constant shoplifting put a stand of sweets around the front of the shop and then hid round the corner and nabbed anyone who tried to nick em, its said that his bag was

Toby
my uncle bought his forst shotgun, safe etc, went on holiday about a month after and someone broke in and forced the safe open, took the gun and left in in the front garden to pick up later but the cleaner found the house and police found the gun but the forensick guys have rusted the barrels. meant that he missed the second half of his first season with his own gun. And my dad says I cant have a shotgun now becuse of what happened!

The other option would be to keep yours with your uncles in his safe, I assume that he has a new one now?

I said id keep it at the shooting ground but ow hes saying 'I dont want a deadly weapon in the house' I tried to tell him that Air rifles arnt exactly toys but he said that he might change his mind about those to. but having a shottie is something that I can lookforeward to having as a adult. and yes he replaced the safe and the barels are being repaired or replaced at the moment.
