bgrangeb
i want to see the different ways people make hides... sometiems i wonder wether just a gap in the hedge would do or whether some of you go all out and buy stealth camo nets i just use pallets covered in mud and leaves so any photos of your hides would be much appreciated for comparison thanks

joeshaw08
The cammo on this one is abit sparse so we have to compensate with dead branches, leaves etc, but it makes it more natural looking. Its pretty effective if we've got cover from both sides and something behind us like a hedge or woods too.
jammy1800
i would send a picture of a hide ive made but you wouldn't be able to see it, so no point really

We never used to bother with gloves at all until one day i was late meeting up for our shoot and phoned my mate to say stop shooting i'm coming over. I couldn't see him properly but his hands stood out as clear as yours do. When we go out on the pigeons on another shoot we just use a standard camo net on poles against the trees and put some dead branches and bracken on the front of it.

HeadShotHoncho
I now have some camo netting and plenty of stuff to make a hide with but right now the field is soaked and i'm using a air rifle so i've got to go prone. I have waterproof trousers and a deerhunter jacket that is waterproof but i'd prefer to have something to lie on and put my gear on. Any ideas how to waterproof it (am probably just gonna use my jacket, net and some hay to drape over the top of the net thats in the field, there's already a mound of hay so i can disguise myself in that) Many thanks, HSH Edited March 28, 2008 by HeadShotHoncho

Foxer
Got two of these up at the moment on rape fields. The pigeons get used to them being there in about a week and then take no notice of them. The best thing is pigeons dont seem to relise all their mates get shot from it so you shoot from it while the rape is growing and leave it there to have a go on the stubble

Thanks Yeah you were right, the only thing is there was only one and I just bought it. :o :o Just kidding..! No ain't as good as you thought; I've seen this before as I have the same net. It's on a 30m roll and costs £9.95 per metre. If you want whole role 30 * £9.95 = £298.
