bull fighting

I guess the Spanish would have very similar arguments in defence of Bullfighting as we have in defence of our field sports. If they say its all about the "noble death" of a bull then who are we as North Europeans to judge the moral values of a Mediterranean culture? If anything Spain,France,Italy etc have less whacky ideas about hunting, meat eating etc than we do in this screwed up country where most people would run a mile rather than prepare a rabbit for the pot.

out of all the people defending bull fighting, how many have actually sat down and watched it.and i dont mean 5 minutes of it.because if any of you had you would see that the bull is in distress and suffering.hey but what the hell the call it a sport so lets defend it,because if they ban it,what next?.wake up ITS CRUEL.how many on here actually go out shooting/hunting to see something suffer? i bet not one of you.so how can anyone defend bullfighting :yp:

Back to the subject, I don`t liked animals being tortured, but it`s Spanish heritage and I wouldn`t join the anti brigade to stop it. It`s a bit like the telly if you don`t like it switch off.

If no one paid to watch then it wouldn`t happen.

Says it all in my opinion. :yp:

Personally I don’t agree with it. The same as bear baiting and cock fighting, it’s all just for human gratification BUT I’d be one of the last people to suggest to another country or people that their ways are wrong and ours are right. How would I feel if say the Chinese suggested that dogs are only for eating and tried to impose that on us, or if some soft hearted fool started an animal rights movement that wanted to ban fox hunting with hounds. Oh they already have!

So no not in favour of it but if that’s how the Spanish wish to carry on their traditions then who am I to say otherwise! I shoot (all manner of things) and people might not agree with that BUT it’s the interfering busy bodies who wish to impose their thinking on me that do my head in. Live and let live.

look at the coruption side of it Bob. if they can deny Cliff Richard a eurovision title, they can overide anything :)

So the EU has done something useful after all, I take back all that I said, VIVA EU! :good::wub::lol:;)

No worse what the chinese do to dogs

The Chinese actually hang dogs and beat them while they are alive, they say the meat taste better when there is a lot of adrenaline in it.

Its on you tube but I dont want to put the link up as it really disgusts me Once I saw the dog being hanged alive I turned it off.

If this country practised bullfighting, the EU would jump in and put a stop to it, after all they dictate what, how, when and where, and with what we can shoot quarry.

Question; Why does the EU not put a stop to bullfighting in Spain?

Maybe because they know that our Government only cares about their own pocket and know that they want to fully commit to the EU without asking the people, and so thing they can do what they want with us. While Spain and the other continant countries are all laughing at us.
