AOL the worst virus you could put on your computer and the hardest to get off :/

LB if you have had Broadband with AOL for more than a year you can migrate for free to another broadband ISP.

To get AOL off your system you will probably have to reinstall windows and get the updates again from microsoft for your OS. YOur system will probably run twice as fast after that.

What gets me is when people ask for advice on PC's, then take absolutely no bloody notice. Then come and ask for help when it goes wrong.

e.g. what do you think of AOL?

Awful, steer clear, don't go there etc.

So I've got AOL and now I can't blah blah blah :/

Specifically thinking about my brother in my little moan, he's always asking PC advice and then completely ignoring it.

I was going to have a pop at ya for calling me son, but as you appear to be 99 years old I'll let it slide grandad. :)

L.B. could you not tell the nice people at the insurance company that

"whilst moving the computer from one room to the next.it fell down the stairs ................ three times "

" it was an unfourtunate unforseen accident as you can tell "

" they dont build commodore vic 20"s like they used too ,do they ?"

how could they deny an honest mistake like that and not reimburse you

with a state of the art "windows m.s.286 dx2 "

if you need a character referance call me " 1-800-DIAL-ALIE EXT ME

:/

LB,

Well, I must be one of the lucky ones, then.

I tried BT once, and was charged for every bloody time they tried to connect me. Needless to say I got a refund on that £100 phone bill.

I like AOL so much, I have just upgraded to their broadband.

Disconnections are a very rare thing in my area, Yorkshire.

Is it anything to do with a poor phone connection ?
