al4x Posted May 21, 2008 Report Share Posted May 21, 2008 simple answer is though you're at college you must be able to find time to work, I had jobs in the college bar plus a weekend job on a local dairy farm plus worked the summer on another farm. cubix Posted May 21, 2008 Report Share Posted May 21, 2008 Get a job as a nursing /care assitant - see if you can find your local NHS trust who deals with care for the elderly and see what they have by way of occasional/part time work. There'll be an induction period but then you can pick up shift work when you need it. Very hard work in more ways than one, but rewarding. Pushkin Posted May 21, 2008 Report Share Posted May 21, 2008 Most of the DIY sheds will employ a young personn if they are fit and presentable - and they are all looking for staff to work until 8:00pm most nights or even for weekend work. My eldest is at Uni doing a double honours and he works for one of the sheds at weekends and any evenings he is not studying/out partying.
