digga Posted November 20, 2004 Report Share Posted November 20, 2004 digga, I have received a message from a member today saying that he caught his 10 year old son "enjoying" your avatar and consequently has had to put the block on P/Watch.I think in the circstances it best if you changed it mate. Sure you will understand. the reply... you can see tits anywhere pick up the paper. the 10 yr old can see pics of dead wildlife on the site but thats ok for the kids parent to let him see! lots of the members love the avatar and make good comments on it. if you give me time to change it i will, under protest members will ask why? is it ok for me to tell them a members child was getting excited by it. Obviously it is going to cause offence to some people, (as does the actual and "disguised"swearing, that features in most posts), because we are all different, with different sensitivities. I know that some people have left the Forum, or don't post so much, because they don't like the "adult" nature of some of the content. Its a very difficult thing to please everybody. Its not obscene, dirty or perverted, just a bit of good harmless fun. I view this as a largely adult oriented site anyway - dead animals, shooting, ways to make vermin cease living more effectively etc. If you get rid of things like the avatar, swearing, wether actual or disguised and so on, it will begin to look like it was being run by the government or local PC brigade.
