Che_Nottm
Silly question from a novice here but can you dismantle a semi like you can remove the barrel from an o/u? looking at a gun cabinet for broken guns (i.e smaller cabinet) but was wondering if that would be of any use if I fancied a semi in the near future? Cheers Che
Salop Matt
Yes a barrel can be removed from a semi ! but will still be long !
Baldrick
Don't get a break-down cabinet unless you absolutely have to. They're a hassle.
rimfire4969
The best way to break a semi is with a big hammer.

Che_Nottm
Thanks for the info guys, just wanted something cheap to start out with, will give it some thought. Cheers Che
Peter De La Mare
Doesn't work that way my friend. Get the biggest and best safe you can afford, you'll have it a very long time and you WILL end up with multiple shotguns. To coin a phrase. "Buy right, buy once" or however it goes.... triscrx
Yeah I agree with the above. I started out with a full length 3 shotgun cabinet, NOw I have an Extra Deep 7-9 Rifle cabinet. Always buy big then you have the extra space WHEN you start collecting more guns.
njc110381
Buy the biggest safe you can afford, even if it means buying used or waiting a month. I started with a 3 gun safe, now I have a 9 gun safe. All that did was cost me more money and make me have to buy two cabinets aswell as fit them, I'd have been better off buying the big one in the first place! Contact Paul Hart on here, he does good deals on slightly dented safes. I've got one, you can hardly tell it's been knocked but I saved a good amount off the retail price

silver_pigeon
Don't do it...not a break cabinet...Semi's do break but it's a pain mostly....especially my Franchi 620VS! For cleaning...its a necessary evil but for storage, I agree with the others, go for a full length cabinet, you won't regret it and will be much less hassle to store it that way!
