Cranfield
I have a pair of neoprene lined Eiger wellington type boots. They have served me well, until today. I have a leak in the seal between the upper and the sole, there is a very slight flap of rubber I can pull back. Does anyone know of a product that will waterproof and seal the boot effectively( I have tried mending boots in the past and they always leak again soon after mending) ? Or should I just junk them ? Taff Mason
my mate bought a decent pair of wellies that ripped at the join between the upper and sole, when he tried to take them off the first time he wore them. so he threw them in the bin. his brother then took them out and glued them with bath sealant and has had no problems so far. malkiserow
Is Mitre Mate waterproof ? I think the said product is just superglue (cyanoacrylate) Maybe phone up a wetsuit company and ask them what glue for neoprene.....?
Newsportshooter
Use a puncture repair kit.... Or Evo Stick Contact adheasive - But let it dry thoroughly before getting them wet again.. If you go for the puncture repair idea try and fit one of the rubber patches inside the boot (&/or outside if you don't mind the look). Good luck Mike
Dunkield
Aquasure I sliced the toe of my Chameau's right through to the canvas 'oh dear' I thought (or similar) Cleaned the gash with alchohol and poured aquasure in, but thinking the boots had had it, that was about a year ago and the repiar is perfect. It's about 6 quid a tube, but fishermen swear by it for repairing neoprene waders etc. http://www.sportfish.co.uk/product/34308/A...der_Repair.html
blackbird
Why not put a tesco carrier bag on your foot first then put the welly on failing that sod the credit crunch & buy a new pair Edited November 6, 2008 by blackbird
