George1990
Seen a couple of threads on despatching wounded birds. This chap has a novel approach... Edited November 14, 2008 by Axe Removed Video
JohnGalway
Idiot. I don't go pigeon shooting, but anything that goes in my larsen trap I use my humane dispatcher...

Catamong
Yes, not exactly a good PR stunt for the pigeon shooting fraternity. Cat.

andovian
I actually found it mildley amusing but I was hoping as he stood over the bird that a couple of bits of shot would come back at him
al4x
I flagged the video as animal abuse. Idiot is doing no one any favours. I know its not exactly approved dispatching technique but its definitely humane and dead is dead. Pretty ludicrous way to use a shotgun though. Pretty ludicrous way to use a shotgun though. Although there will be none of the bird left to eat, dead really is dead and I my self have walked 10 feet way to a bird that a bout to leg it and just given it the barrel....although capturing it on camera is not the best but dead is dead and it didnt suffer much after the trigger pull. Pretty ludicrous way to use a shotgun though. Why's he need to kick it then? You're entitled to your opinion but I don't agree with him doing that, if it needs shooting then shoot it. Pipmoff
Got to agree with the abovefrom John. There was no need to go and kick it into camera shot if it needed shot why not just give it another barrel from the hide whilst it was on the ground job done!! Axe
I have removed the video more so as the replies contained in the comments on youtube contravene the forum rules. However, the video wasn't sporting and as said, does not promote pigeon shooting in a positive way. My personal opinion is that it demonstrated a complete lack of respect for both the bird and the gun.

henry d
Personally I think that Whitebridges avatar is a good advert for shooting this wonderful bird, it shows the damage a bird like this can do...........and BTW it`s crop is not it`s stomach, it is merely the place it puts food until it has an empty stomach.
