Headed daaaan saaaaaf (well, Braintree, but it is south of Cambridgeshire) this morning to meet up with Mungler and Evil Elvis.

Had a great time watch pros at work and managed two scores of about 20 on the skeet range. Shot like a numpty on Sportrap though... I hate battues! I think Mung got the high score on skeet with a couple of 24s. EE got 23 both times if memory serves.

Great time though and picked up some good tips from Mung and Elvis. Hope to do it again, but next time there at the high tower I'm taking an umbrella. The clays tend to fall a little close to the stand!

86/100 at Kibworth today, this was their CPSA Registered layout, so not a strawbale type of shoot.

Extremely happy with that. Though I lost 4 due to my famous trigger spasms.:hmm:

On a 'hard' 50 bird FITASC layout (shooting from the car park on one stand giving 70 yard birds) I got 41/50.

Learnt a lot today. Not least that my gun has a near 6lb trigger pull, which may explain some of my trigger spasms/no pulls which cost me 4 birds on the 100 sporting layout. :good:

If you want to learn to shoot, go see Ben Husthwaite. :hmm:

Shot up at Bywell in Northumberland today, for the 2nd NOE Skeet Selection Shoot, and the weather was miraculously...quite nice :good: Managed a 98/100 after dropping one on each of my first two rounds. It'll do, but need to give myself a kick up the backside for the next one if I am going to make the ton :good:

Managed a reasonably mediocre 60 ex 100 at Hawley today, but was well pleased as they have changed it around a bit and there were some reet testing stuff there!! Went with a mate who's a dead eye game shot and he came away "somewhere between 20 and 30".

I was second in C class when i left, so fingers crossed for 2 boxes of cheap cartridges!

Got a 55x100 at my local yesterday and was a bit upset, but the wind was up a bit and I had just spent the morning shooting .17 HMR in a Mythbusters stylee, so I was not too upset. The icing on the cake was a straight on a sim teal stand.

Mrs. Wookie's dad was with me and he got a 22x100, but was quite happy with it.

I then spent the afternoon doing DIY gunsmithing to add an inch spacer to the stock of the SPig. I'll see how that works out in a couple of weeks.

I think i shot quite well today - my first visit to a skeet range since i got my SGC (an first non-instructor led session), probably hit 30+ out of 50

I managed to hit all of the birds (not necessarility first time) and left confident that i can improve and start to compete in the summer.

Cheers

Went to Dartford today and did a ****e 57 ex 100. Targets had been changed from recently and a bit tougher - well i thought so - on 2 stands only managed a 2 on each. :good: Back to the drawing board

 you're only sore cos you'd been there so much that you knew where the clays were going before they did!!!! was tougher though..... :D
