Thanks guys, I have been restocking guns for a while now as well as carrying out repair work and checkering and finishing, I first restocked the Linsley brothers gun a couple of years ago and ran a comprehensive I tire essay thread in the DIY section , though the piece of wood I used was not the same quality as the original and though it was a good first attempt everything about the stock was wrong. I bought a second blank which closely matched the small piece of original stock I had a second attempt now I have got a few years practice under my belt and the picture is the result of that work. It has been done around other jobs I have been doing and still needs finishing, the wood has only had a few coats of oil.

The new stock looks very in keeping with the era of the gun .Excellent choice.
