I went today for the first time and not massively impressed to be honest. Plenty of clothing but very similar to the cla with a lot of "stuff" stalls. Unless I missed it there was no gun makers row

I don't think there is a gun makers row , well if there is I have never seen it , there are one or two that sell guns , like Churchills of Dereham but apart from those small ones that's about it .

Go in the house and walk through the gunroom if you want to see guns ...you will be amazed. Some of them never been fired I would wager.

I have been in there, and there are racks of Purdey hammer guns that had been used by the old kings , these ones looked as if they were well used , but no doubt there are new ones that you are not likely to get your hands on .

There is also a collection of the old cars and shooting brakes that were used in there hey day , anyone in that area it is well worth a visit .

Lovely photos Whitebridges , I went yesterday and had a brilliant day , weather was as good as any day we had in the summer , I took my young dog and apart from having a pee every time we stopped he was as good as gold and made friends with most of the people who went.

The only drawback was the long tailback getting in , apart from that , really enjoyed it.

Anyone have any pictures of the gun room or cars/brakes? I saw there is a book available- from £57 though

I am not sure weather you would be allowed to take photos in the gun room and in the house itself , it would be a long way for you to come from Plymouth but if you were holidaying in the area it is well worth a visit .

Cheers MM. We had a very enjoyable day. We arrived early and left about 2pm. A few traffic issues on the way out. Why oh why there weren't any officers directing the traffic I don't know. Maybe the doughnut van had arrived at the station  and there was a lock in.

Lovely day out. Spent 5 hrs checking out kit for the new season but didn't find that bargain that really made the day. However had a really good burger in one of the food tents accompanied by a very very good pint of bitter - 'Old barn' pale ale I think. Several buddies to catch up with too.

If the bitter was from Tydd Steam ... then it was Barn Ale ..... I love the stuff!!
