  1. It sounded incredible that the French would lay on buses, but the defining part was "(in effect)" so I wondered what he meant and looked for a source. The link is from 13/10/22 so a further question arises, why did Farage say that now? Regarding sources; it is not about who you trust but "reading" widely and gathering information in and sifting through it. Let's have a quick tangent. Another thread about the Beeb and Begum started and lots said they would not watch it, so you have to ask if that's the right way to get a fair view (I've not seen all of it yet but what I have doesn't seem to do her any favours, no spoilers please πŸ˜‰). If someone puts something up that seems incredible I think we have a duty to either ask for clarification or sources or to seek them out ourselves to see whether it is truly incredible, half truth, or lie. If you read it and just take it as face value you do yourself no favour and I believe that the saying is correct; "An unexamined life is not worth living!"
  2. Not exactly correct but don't expect truth from that kind of source... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/10/13/channel-migrants-taking-free-buses-beach-noses-french-police/
  3. Some people seem to be getting a bit carried away with it all
  4. Dombrandt was ineffective, missed tackle leading to a try and fumbling, Curry for a while was guarding the short side which changed around half time. Not sure who or how to change those important defence positions.
  5. Wow, great turn around but too many penalties
  6. I think Finn is the crucial player, great on form but a freaking liability if he isn't. Hopefully it is the latter and Borthwicks choices are spot on. I had a season pass at Murrayfield for 4-5 years and unfortunately for Scotland it was one of their low points and I felt it was quite a miserable feeling, I much prefer win or lose at Kingston Park.
  7. No, not as far as I am aware. He will have many restrictions placed on him and as he has visited other countries and offended there he is unlikely to get permission I would think.
  8. Unlikely, he will be on licence and travel restricted and I would expect that he is banned from travelling there.
  9. Yep. Wooden acting, poor script and I doubt that forensics would be given that much leeway.

    Nitrous oxide

Possibly told to us trainee welders to stop us using it to get rid of hangovers, or maybe it was different in the 70's?

    Tyre Nichols

No, but then beating him close enough to death that even medical intervention would not save him is quite relevant.
  12. Absolutely, same as warships. Thank goodness for the RFA.
  13. I went for Einhell (sp) from tool station as it was on offer with batteries and charger and I had a voucher for money off. I've got the 4Ah and they are same size and weight (by feel) so I am covered now if I have to cut for more than an hour.
  14. You also forgot to mention how the Russian advance stalled due to lack of logistics.
  15. That's because it's down there me 'ansum! Try the north sea 🌊 πŸ₯ΆπŸ»β€β„️
  16. Chill pill Chicken Little ! You need to also understand what net zero means for a kick off, and I was just showing you how identity and the right digital tech can help smooth things in life. Being an e-Luddite isn't going to help.
  17. I have some Remington in the loft, Tyneside area?
  18. I like Radcliffe and Maconie's take on it; "Wild swimming, or as it should be called...swimming!"

    Nitrous oxide

The nitrous is the thing that pressurises the cream.

    Nitrous oxide

Whipping cream is used too, but you need to filter it. I've seen sanitary towels used! I'm not sure what non medical NO2 does to the lungs but non medical O2 is supposed to be bad to inhale.
  21. If you stay away from youtoob, and fiction you might not get into a tizz about it. Remember you asked a question and no I don't find it disturbing that there were no radio and TV campaigns? When I reread the op it is obvious that you have made up your mind that it is something to subjugate or control us, hence Orwell and Adams (and Brazil/Gilliam). Two years ago I was downsizing prior to moving and a trip to the recycling centre meant that sometimes I had a lengthy wait, now I am in a bigger city with the same amount of recycling centres and I wait 5 minutes max as I can book a slot on the council website. I booked an appointment to see the doctor, get bloods and an ECG all online via the health centre and NHS app. No turning up, waiting in line etc just 0-10 minutes at each appointment. I don't think that they are gathering evidence between them and my Lidl, and banking apps to chastise me for my lifestyle and withdraw treatment due to the amount of bacon and cheese I eat and because I cancelled a couple of gym sessions on my gym app. It's better because it frees up time for everyone, it's not 100% bombproof but better than taking many trips and using up precious time in my opinion.
