Is it the MarkI or MarkII GP?
  3. Sorry to spoil your fun YP, but it isn't going to happen - along with the practical side, hidden CCTV cameras are unlawful under Personal Privacy law. In order to fit and operate CCTV cameras, the following must be displayed at every entrance to the property, or at the point where the cameras are operating: Sign stating that CCTV is in operation Name and contact number of the operator Warning that CCTV footage may be used as evidence. In addition to the above, it would be inpossible to maintain them as all country people (not just hunters) would be looking for them and once found they would destroy them, with nobody about see them do so. Therefore, I would take what you have read as a wind-up or just someone's silly speculation. Sounds too much like Nineteen Eighty Four!
  4. One thing you can be sure of is that if they use the Parliament Act this time, they will start using it regularly from now on for new legislation, and by so doing render the Lords incapable of amending or blocking anything in the future.
  5. Don't forget the Foxhunting emphasis is deliberate. The antis try to portray it as exclusively mounted huting with the fashionable packs. They don't want the public to see the perceived "working class" pursuits such as lurchers etc as it would be harder to stereotype hunting people. Mounted hunting probably accounts for 1/4, perhaps even less, of the hunting affected by a ban.

  7. My comment "divide and rule" was aimed more at lurcherboy. Like it or not LB, the antis see all hunting with hounds as the same. If the bill was just against foxhunting, how long do you think lurchers would last? Not very long!
  8. Jim, you will find that a number of us on the forums, myself included, enjoy following hounds on horseback. It is a fun to try and keep up with them and watch them work. I enjoy following the harriers, beagles, minkhounds, and watching terriers and lurchers work. What the government wants to do is "divide and rule". Even if you aren't particularly interested in non-lurcher hunting, don't fall into the trap. The reason that a number of people think the ban only refers to foxhunting is only because the media portrays it that way, as photographs of mounted hunting look more impressive. I expect many townies don't even know what coursing is, in the same way they are completely ignorant of the facts about foxhunting. One thing you can be sure of is that the antis don't differentiate between one type of hunting with hounds and another.
  9. Red, practice on a few rabbits first to get the hang of it. You need to slit the skin round the tailbone. Don't cut into the sinews of the tail as it will weaken it and you are more likely to leave part of the bone in the tail. Working very carefully with a sharp knife, peel back the skin until you have got about an inch of the bone sticking out, then pull as described. Lorne Taxidermy Supplies (do a Google search) sell a tail stripper.
  10. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/3664314.stm This must be really embarrassing for them now, especially after stepping up security yesterday.
  11. The new generation of Baikal shotguns are very good value for money and much improved from their ancestors. http://www.baikalinc.ru/eng/
  12. Nice one! You gonna get the head stuffed and mounted to hang on your living room wall?
  13. you took the words right out of my mouth! Funny, I'd always imagined you being fatter!!
  14. There once was a girl of Devizes Who had tits of two different sizes One was so small it was nothing at all The other was big and won prizes.
  15. Some ***** on the radio was saying that if hunting is made illegal, no extra police will be needed to enforce a ban as those previously engaged in managing the antis are to be freed up! What a load of b*****s! So are we to presume that the antis are going to say: "Well chaps, lets all go home now." Of course not, they will start on shooting and fishing.
  16. There once was a hooker from Crewe Who filled up her thingy with glue She said with a grin; If they pay to get in They can pay to get out again too! A horny young woman from Norway once hung by her heels from the doorway She said to her man; Come quick as you can I think that I've just found one more way.
  17. The red area is probably overfill. Its possible that the gun may have a safety valve which releases excess pressure. If you think the vessel on the gun is leaking, dip the end into some water and watch for bubbles. There's an old saying: "If all else fails, read the instructions." :yp:
  18. All this time Red and you can't even find a shooting related picture!! :yp:
  19. Is anybody chatting tonight?
  20. It's illegal if you shoot them out of season or with lead shot. Tiercel's post about sums them up. Seriously, if you really want to eat them, just cut off the breasts and roast them. They are fairly indigestible so be sure you have a strong stomach.
  21. :yp: Glad it's not just me
  22. Perhaps YP would like to elaborate about his exploits in Thailand? Aint there supposed to be lots of "ladies" over there with the old 3-piece suite??? :yp:
  23. Tongue in cheek YP, but the Lada Niva may not look the mutt's nuts, but they are built like a brick ****house and a lot cheaper than a landy. A friend has one and it just goes on and on.
