  1. Can you not just turn the gun off if safety is a concern? I also seem to recall my Daystate getting quite warm after charging for a while so I would prefer some airflow.
  2. For me its another chance to see if I can remember The Great Escape word for word. Then ,after eating and drinking far too much we can all sit around the table and play a board game (bored?)-this usually ends up in a massive argument so we all wander off to take a second look at the gifts that we received earlier in the hope that they may have become more interesting. Last but not least we can all support our local shops and small businesses by paying thru the nose for carp that if it had never been invented would never be missed. Merry Xmas.
  3. Doubt that the police would show any interest-best make sure that your son's Insurance company are aware of the contradiction in statements and they should be able to refuse both claims but it comes down to money. If the other guy is willing to go to court then the Insurance company could face a huge bill if the case is lost-most of the time they will simply pay the claim and your son would be left with the blame. Might not be such a good idea to advertise the fact that your lads bike was stuck in second gear-with a broken gear lever I would consider the bike unroadworthy and a hazard if it could only manage 10 mph?
  4. .But surely Gays are consenting adults 955i?-children are not able to give consent. To my mind they should be put on the general license
  5. Sorry-typo-£1.49 per bottle-bottle comes in its own box.
  6. Innis & Gunn 330ml 7.4% bottles of Oak aged beer-Treacle Porter/Spiced Rum/Canadian Cherrywood finish in a smart box at £1.40 each is a steal-cannot understand how anybody can sell Ale of such quality at this price
  7. Gonna be harsh but I think you need to put your pain away for a while and devote your time and thoughts to your other half right now-whatever you are feeling I would put money on her feeling far worse-she had a physical connection and a basic bond right from day one-she may also feel that she has let you down. Stay with her and be there for her-you can deal with your pain sitting in the middle of a field somewhere-Give her my love and please accept my best wishes for the future.
  8. Personally I would rather have Ebola than listen to One Erection .
  9. These "which is best" threads belong in a Bar after several Pints and normal conversation has died. There is NOTHING that a Daystate can do (that is cognitive to good hunting) that the AA cannot do at a cheaper price. The component quality of both is pretty top notch and both are assembled to a degree that sets the Bar for other makers-I feel that Daystate suffer more build related errors simply because they build smaller numbers of semi bespoke guns. So if you can afford whichever one you like its simply down to looks-a seemingly unimportant trait for a tool but in our decadent society, a crucial one. I put my hands up here and surrender to Daystate as some of their guns are stunning and belong in a Gallery, but I also like the looks of,say, the TX200. So in my mind the Daystate is more desirable but that is not the same as better-I drive a 355 that is stunning and was over 10 times the price of my day to day Saab but is it better in real terms? No is the honest answer.
  10. Its the £3.99 bar shaped one.
  11. If your dads gun was leaking and AA failed to fix it why did he not simply get his money back on it?
  12. My 15 year old son uses a 101 and loves it to bits-he's had a 525 and a 686 but reckons the Winnie makes other guns feel like toys.
  13. I use a LH 525 sporter but I dont shoot any better than with my sons RH Winchester 101.
  14. Do not go to Aldi and buy their Genoa Cake and definitely do not take it home and pour Double Cream all over it. If this warning reaches you too late feel free to post the offending cake to my home address where I will make sure that it is ,er, disposed of correctly.
  15. Great to see you back fella
  16. Bought a thousand power reds for my lad-in the first 250 we have had 2 just pop the loads out of the barrel-not impressed at all
  17. Its great to see Evo back and pushing the old Daystate build quality piano up the hill once more. I think that Evo was undergoing some kind of therapy while he was away (quite possibly paid for by Tony Belas) but as you can tell by his comments-its still early days for him. Best not upset him during the early period of recovery and stick with the Daystate-once he is better we can look forward to some words of wisdom once more p.s. Buy the S400 but dont tell anyone on here-sorted
  18. I love it-and I bet any one out there who is ex-services will buy all their crimbo goodies from Sainsburys now. With the cute Robins tweeting merrily away on the barbed wire to the surprise bar of choccy it almost makes the millions of lives that were lost seem worthwhile.
  19. Two things spring to mind A/ The S400 will match the Daystate's all day long on any challenge apart, maybe, from aesthetics. B/ No matter how much you love the S400 you will always want the S410. If your choice is limited to just these 3 then, in my opinion, the S400 wins no contest.
  20. Price includes everything-installation, energy rating certificate and micro licence but time is getting short as the FIT is likely to be reduced in January. Seems like a good month for us-this is set to payback in 4-5 years and yesterday we managed to increase the interest on our savings from .1% to 4% in one foul swoop-happy days.
  21. Look around for a Browning Medalist-28" multi in good nick should be a few out there. Not made by Browning but to their standards and carrying the name seems to enable these guns to hold their value.
  22. German made panels with a Swiss built inverter-both with 10 year warranty.-company called createrenewableenergy.co.uk. I have spoken to several companies (one quoted £11800!!) and these guys were the only ones who did not try any pressure selling techniques.
  23. Looking at spending £5500 on a 4KW 16 panel system. I own my house outright and the rear of the property faces due south with no shaded areas or trees to block the light. Anyone out there know of any pitfalls or disadvantages? my property seems to be ideal?
  24. I must be getting old-£250 for a scope to sit on a gun with less than 60 yards normal range? I normally buy used scopes-you don't need top end German optics and mounts built to withstand a Tallboy on a PCP Airgun. But if you have money to burn
