Gun decided>tick, scope(s) decided >tick, what about mounts..h
bruno22rf replied to CollioureII's topic in Airgunners
When I was younger and money was tight I used to buy 2 piece mounts but then drilled and tapped a 6mm thread thru them and connected them together with 6mm studding. -
Scopes have come a long way in the last 10 years-a scope from the 90's costing £200+ can often be outclassed by a sub £100 modern unit. Try as many as you can but remember that biggest is not always best-and the larger scopre require higher mounts which takes the line of sight further away from the barrel-not a good thing on an Airgun when faced with such a loopy trajectory. Whichever scope you decide on make sure you buy the best mounts that you can afford-not an item to skimp on.

Email him with the information that he has 7 days to collect the item-if you do not hear from him simply re-list the item and keep his money for the hassle.

I retired at 51 so the wife and I spend our days doing loads of nothing in particular. If you can afford to retire but are going to find it difficult to occupy your time then I think that staying at work is the healthier option. BTW-if you are looking for investments then forget Premium Bonds-we have £60k worth and average £25/month return

With the loopy trajectory of a .25 are you sure that the pellet is not dropping over the length of the moderator?

France has always had a pair-anything upsets Frenchie and protests are immediate-can we say the same about ourselves?.As for bailing France out in 2 world wars, it might be worth reading up on the thousands that died bravely fighting unbeatable odds in both instances-Geography allowed France to be invaded -not a lack of courage.

Advice needed - best springer for £400 incl scope
bruno22rf replied to CollioureII's topic in Airgunners
Should be nothing short of stunning in Walnut-you have chosen wisely and will be amazed at how smooth these guns are, people describe them as being tuned as standard and when you get her you will see why. . Enjoy it-safe in the knowledge that you are unlikely to ever come across a better spring powered gun-get some pics up asap -
Advice needed - best springer for £400 incl scope
bruno22rf replied to CollioureII's topic in Airgunners
TX200 or the Pro sport would be my choice-loved all my HW's over the years (apart from my 95) but the Air Arms are simply superior-the build quality and accuracy are exemplary. -
Wheeler Dealers to the rescue-Landy parts are cheap so if Ed was to spend the next 3 years rebuilding her and parts are less than a grand then selling for £1500 would give a £300 profit-simples.

Cheers, loriusgarrulus-first time I checked his profile it didn't show the normal page-sometimes my incompetence astounds me

As you dont drive, Matt-just wondering how old you are?

The barrel on the S410 is indeed like a peashooter but then you dont need to use it for anything other than pointing the pellet in the right direction-Air Arms could add a shroud but why bother?-just adds weight. I used to own a Logun Pro that had a huge "barrel" until you removed the shroud where I was surprised to find a spindly little tube that looked like it had been machined by a Monkey. The HW100 is an amazing bit of kit and, in my opinion ,is better than the S410 but with the reports of servicing problems I will stick with my S410.

Gun and Country are in Swanbourne-just outside MK-BTW- do you know that MK has an Airgun club that meets every Sunday-should be a lot of different guns you could try out.. If you fancy trying a PCP then just pm me-I'm just outside MK and have an Air Arms S410 and S200 multi that you are welcome to come and try.

Just back from Tenerife and read the above response to my post-the little man rolling his eyes denotes that my comment was made "tongue in cheek" and not to be taken seriously-might I suggest that if your I.Q. is too low to incorporate a sense of humor then you find a more suitable Forum-try one that promotes Sexual self sufficiency if Bellends are your thing.

AA Pro elite HW80 or Original 45. BTW- if you are in the Milton Keynes area you could try Gun and Country-customer service is beyond reproach and the guy can source just about any gun you desire within 48 hours-including trade sales on Guntrader-HIGHLY recomended

An item of clothing belonging to one of Jack the Kippers victims eh?bet that increased its value somewhat-and what a stroke of luck that, in over one hundred years, it never got washed and that the victim was not the only person to have bled on it. BTW-I have Jacks mobile phone for sale if anyone is interested?

If its a 335 or better still-the 335 s then buy it if its in good nick-I'm surprised that nobody has ever had one tuned because they are amazing rifles and as accurate as the best.

Gotta smile when a Daystate jockey boasts that he has had no problems with his £800 gun after just over a year.

Simples-its a childish challenge to pour a bucket of iced water over your head and post it on farcebook-its helping by keeping morons off our streets for a short while.

Cannot see the point in spending that sort of cash on a bike that is going to be a target for low life -if you are "into" cycling then it would make more sense to buy a decent bike for pleasure use and an Ebay jobby for work-my bike is an early but immaculate Carrera Vulcan alloy frame etc-cost me £40 on the bay.

As per David M-spot on advice.

Best bet would be to put up a few pictures-makes viewing more interesting-if you can get a semi naked 18 year old female to dangle her tooters over the tank then viewing will be compulsory
-
Dont be too eager to give a beginner a gun with a light trigger Just about any modern gun will have a decent trigger-if you look at something like a Meteor then you will find the gun will also have enough power to deal with small vermin at reasonable ranges should your boy wish to take up hunting.

Which to buy HW100 S FSB/ BSA R10 Mk2 (Bull barrel)/ Daystate Huntsman
bruno22rf replied to Zenduri's topic in Airgunners
Of the 3 I would opt for the HW100 first-then the BSA -but might I suggest that you look at the Air Arms S510? -
The HW100 is a clinical killing machine-as per usual the Germans built the gun to do a job and it does it without any useless bells and whistles-the only fly in the ointment is that Hull cartridge seem to struggle to service them if anything goes wrong. My shooting buddy has one and I cannot remember ever coming by a gun more effective in the field.
