  1. She's bang on Mole-on every count but at least she has bought you a decent gun-she sounds like an amazing woman to me-talks sense and knows about guns-piccy please and the low down on how stable your relationship is . Is she busy over Christmas? Seasons Greetings to you both Sir and get a report up on the new puffgun as soon as possible.
  2. I will take this if its still available.
  3. Pretty sure that's a Mistral-late 80's gun.
  4. Deep Thought-you need to take into account the fact that, due to design and materiel quality, most Brownings, Winchesters etc will shrug off 100k rounds and, if looked after, will come back for more. If you buy wisely you will pick up a quality used gun for less than a low/medium quality offering and it should retain its value. My first gun was an early Lanber and it shot loose in less than 2000 shells despite very meticulous care-on the other hand my Browning 525 is nearly 5 years old and would pass as almost new.
  5. I would go for an Air Arms Pro Elite-but you may have to search hard as they don't come up for sale very often-get it tuned by someone like Sandwell and it should last you a lifetime as well as increase in value.
  6. Rabbits heads make a great backstop ditto squirrels and most vermin
  7. Merry Christmas to you Evo-is she going to wrap it? Enjoy your new toy-looks nice
  8. Innis and Gunn can hardly be accused of producing an Alcopop-the beer was produced as a by product and was initially thrown away. It certainly isn't an Ale for everyone as it is quite thick and unusual in its taste-not unlike "Old Tom" but considerably cheaper. As an avid "consumer" of Ales with a distinctive flavor I must confess that the current offerings from I&G-taking into account the price at Aldi at the moment-puts it in my top 3 of all time and close to Old Peculier-but I must admit that I can only drink these Ales if well chilled which makes me a big girls blouse
  9. I posted a heads up about this offer a couple of weeks back and i'm surprised that Aldi have any left on the shelves-the one you didn't mention is Canadian Cherry Wood finish. These Ales are superb and just 3 bottles put me to sleep-every time I visit Aldi I buy at least 10 bottles and I have nearly 60 in my garage . These are limited edition beers and when they are gone that's it-at £1.49/bottle its a giveaway.
  10. The new Remington express looks nice and has had some good reviews?
  11. Had a Caravan for about 7 years and had amazing times in her-this is the first year we have not taken her any distance and decided to go to Tenerife instead-£7k total cost and could not wait to get home -back to the Van next year and Tenby and the New Forest here we come.
  12. I don't understand that, Nigel, as I have seen X2's for sale with the MK5 Airstream fitted-the shroud on your gun must be bigger than 19mm-you need to get it measures to find out which mods will fit-anyone else on here got an X2? and know the shroud size?
  13. No worries Nigel-if you get some use from it then that's far better than it gathering dust in my cupboard-atvb-bruno.
  14. Buy some cheap polystyrene tiles and glue them to the inside walls of your cabinet with Evo Grip solvent free adhesive-this will stop condensation by maintaining a more even temperature.
  15. Agree 100%, aris, LED's are so cheap now and power consumption is virtually negligible.
  16. I have a pair of Hunters bought in 1998 and still going strong-bought my daughter a pair 2 years ago and they have already fallen apart.
  17. My sincerest apologies Evo-no intention to jump on you fella-my attempt at humor failed this time-I'm not one for putting people down usually and even if your choice of Airguns is a little strange, you have my absolute respect.
  18. Christ on a bike,Evo-I offer the guy a free Daystate Mod and you start comparing it to others on the market -what do they say about a gift horse? Anyhoo, fog horn, it went in the post this morning-recorded delivery second class and I don't want anything for the postage-if you wait, though, Evo will be along in a minute to tell you of a faster, better delivery service
  19. I've been having it for years cos I have no immune system-sometimes feel a bit odd a few days later but really minor-far less than if you got Flu.
  20. Guy came alone and the work looks really tidy-he even fixed a faulty light switch while he was here but no Certificate-should I have one? I know that he is fully qualified by the way as our local school used to use him.
  21. My 15 year old has been shooting since the summer-once every 2 weeks and, I think, is getting on really well. His average at Sporting over the last 3 shoots is 83 which brings me to my question. Is he good enough to maybe shoot for a Team and gain sponsorship and if so, how would we go about it? I know that his scores are not earth shattering but his trigger was faulty on 2 of the last 3 shoots and this last Sunday both beads had fallen off when we took the gun from its slip.We all think our kids are amazing no doubt but to see him shoot and beat the vast majority of the adults is an amazing feeling and I would really like to see him go further in the sport.
  22. Just had a new 10 way Consumer board fitted today as our old system was ancient-new Tails and all old earths replaced by new spec wires and all sockets in the house checked. It cost me £350-is that a fair price?
  23. Crossman do an 8 shot co2 pistol modeled on the 357 magnum I think-I used to shoot Rats with mine and very effective it was at short range.
  24. Fog Horn-pretty sure that I have a MK5 Airstream mod kicking around (19mm shroud dia)-if its any good to you its yours.
