  1. am i dreaming or do i recall the 35 has a drooping barrell?-i guess the best way to check if yours is faulty is to find someone local who has one-strip off the scopes and lay them upside down side by side-any difference in barrell alignment should be aparent-good luck-bruno.
  2. never been busier-wages up twice this year and increase in hours likely by end of summer-been trained in swimming pool maintainance-grounds maintaiance-working at heights and child protection in last few months.Absolutely zero stress and surrounded by plenty of young women.
  3. my brno hates winnie stuff-i may as well chuck gravel.IMHO RWS are easily the best followed by eley as a close runner up.
  4. o.k. so if labour goes who in hell you gonna vote in?-all the other parties are spending so much time slagging off this sausage jockey brown that they have forgotten to decide what they would do if they came to power.Whoever gets the job of clearing up the current mess is going to have to introduce some tough and unpopular policies. The state of our country simply cannot be fixed overnight-if at all.I predict that in time we will become the China of 10 years ago.
  5. many years ago i was out with a mate shooting and as we were walking back to the car a fox stepped right out in front of us at least 25 yards away if not more-my buddy fired at it with his original 45 in .22 and it dropped stone -dead-not suggesting anyone tries it by any means but i have definately seen it done.
  6. Having a late spring clean and decided to sell the following books-All by Collin Willock and all in good nick.1/The Gun Punt Adventure-1988 edition-getting rare-£13 inc postage 2/Town Gun 2-£10 inc postage 3/Landscape With A Solitary Figure-£8 inc postage 4/The Book Of The Woodpigeon-1st edition-cant find one for sale on ABE so im guessing £10 incl postage is fair as it cost me double-Collin Willock was one of the best shooting authors in his time and these books are a great read.p.m. me if interested in any of them-bruno.
  7. Got to be honest-if i saw that in my scope i wouldnt shoot it.
  8. So you are going to wait even longer till you get something that is decent?-my god ,when i first started shooting i was so desperate that a i made a .410 shotgun out of metal tubing a bent nail and a spring-i also made a .410 pistol when i started work as a precision engineer.Surely you would be glad to have anything thats safe and goes bang at the appropriate time? or am i just missing something?.I have owned loads of guns in my time and from all of the top makers but the one i have kept the longest and shot the most pigeons with is a 16g hammer Baikel-not pretty, not decent but by god it kills more than its fair share.
  9. Promethus pellets?-you use them?-why? Theres enough conditions against you when using a sub 12 ft/lb puffgun so why add more?
  10. Im with the S200 fans-brilliant bit of kit once you get over the looks-great value and if he buys a good used one he will probably get his money back when he sells it.One word of warning-make sure it has a silencer on it.
  11. Im going to try and do the lass that walked into school last week in a red dress that must have been sprayed on-its looking possible.
  12. 100% yes from me but while im here i would like to make my feelings felt on the way that people treat anybody whos views dont match theirs on this forum. This is still a relatively free country and citizens like viking have as much right to their opinion as everybody else.We dont all have to agree on anything other than to have the maturity to disagree with tact and diplomacy-i sometimes get the impression that some on this site lack the ability to reason or string together a decent argument so they just hurl abuse-why not try and understand peoples opinions and offer reasonable counter points-only morons use personal insults.(watch this space cos one will most likely be right behind this thread)
  13. we were all novices once mate-you are lucky that forums like this exist to speed up the learning process-at least you had the guts to post a thread so good on you-enjoy your gun and be lucky.
  14. Is the display stand for sale?
  15. When you first got the gun home did you pull the trigger?whilst the barrels were off?-sometimes this can make reassembley a pain cos you are fighting the hammer springs.
  16. I must admit to hating cats with a passion-non of the farms where i shoot keep cats and any cats i encounter on remote sites get the same treatment.I think that its way past the time when all cats should wear a collar with a bell on it (ideally the size of big ben) to give songbirds a chance and cats should be kept indoors during peak breeding season.I have 3 nest boxes in my garden and every year next doors ******* cats sit and wait for the fledglings to leave before killing them.My neighbour says that its just nature-i say ******** cos cats are not native to this country.Last year a cat wiped out my robins chicks and started on the young bluetits before i saw it and sent it running-guess what?-little tiddles wont be doing it this year if i catch him-feral or not.
  17. Try a Browning Medalist multi-choke.Solid and reliable guns that you wont lose much money on-i would advise against a semi-auto if its your first shottie as its eay to make an O/U os S/S safe just by breaking them open.
  18. From memory the xm100 was almost identical to the sm100-i seem to remember that the xm had a quick fill adaptor.Air Arms stopped production of these in 1994 so its quite dated by now.The SM100 was one of my favourite all time guns and i would be expecting the xm to be worth at least £150 if not more depending on condition. It would be helpfull to know if the gun had always been stored charged otherwise corrosion may have occured internally.Hope this is of some help.
  19. My S200 was almost as loud as my rimfire till i fitted the Air Arms silencer-brilliant bit of kit and so easy to fit with just one allen key
  20. If geordie had a hat in his other hand we would all be applauding him
  21. If you decide to end your friendship with your buddy can you come and pick me up each week-you sound like a reasonable chap to me Theres a possibility that you may be blowing this out of proportion-speak to your buddy about things-i would ask for an apology from his son as well -if you dont get one you could pop round and insert your wellies in him.good luck
  22. Ive bought 2 guns from these in the past-both at very good prices-each time i asked them to pick out a gun with a nice piece of wood and both times they have done me proud-i would certainly use them again.
  23. If your fence is wooden you can buy anti-pigeon spikes that prevent them from landing-i think screw-fix used to sell them-if they are landing inside your garden and fouling your property i cant see why you cannot shoot them as a health and safety issue-give the local boys in blue a ring and ask for advice.Do not try a BB gun-if the police give you the go-ahead im sure you could find somebody who would do the job for you.
  24. Get yourself down to your nearest RFD and wipe your sweaty palms all over every .22 in stock-when you have finished pondering and picking and finally made up your mind-get the CZ cos you cant beat them.
