why would anyone ,in a sound state of mind, sell this gun-its stunning! -
Great shot and great picture, bud. The majority of people on this site will have witnessed this picture via their own scope many times but its great to see it frozen in time.If anyone on this site finds it offensive then they should pack up shooting asap -ultimatley its a perfect shot/kill.What could any anti say about it?

If i was forced to take one of the above i would choose the BSA-then flog it to some poor soul and buy summit else.A few months back i sold my brand new HW80K on here -scoped and with a gorgeous sling (and custum brass trigger gaurd)-for under £200.Add a few more squid and you will get a decent used springer if you shop around-i know its not easy but try and buy a gun on its merits and not on its price.

if you are concerned about condensation (which is a nightmare in steel cabinets kept outside) try this-make sure that the cabinet is insulated from the floor with a vapour proof barrier-glue polystyrene tiles on the inside and outside to maintain a decent temperature within the cabinet-you can buy re-usable de-humidifiers from camping stores (or fleabay) that change colour when wet and can be just plugged into a mains socket for a few hours to renew them.hope this is of some help-bruno. -
looks like a hamster that has eaten too much land-rover

not big enough to be crows-no white around the base of the beak so not adult rooks-these are branchers

Guilty as charged of posting a comment on this thread-as for being a "hater"-not sure where that comes from-I have no opinion on the shooter as i have never met him.I am glad that a lesson was learned from the episode and pray that a similar event doesnt re-occur.Apart frm being unfair on the quarry i am surprised that no-one has mentioned the danger of such an act.Lets just say ,for sake of argument, that the hare had been cleanly killed by the blow from the stock-and the chap was not made aware of the safety aspect.Lets just imagine the consequences if the shooter was to become used to occasionally finishing off his quarry in such a way until one day, in a momentry lapse of concentration,he does it after only firing one shot. I hope that you enjoy very many years of happy hunting ,bennyuk, but please be carefull-best of luck-bruno.

Arent they all branchers? (young rooks)

Craaaazy world-im a disgrace for misspelling a couple of words-but i can try beating a hare to death with the stock of my gun as long as i learn from it?-as for having nothing better to do-pot? kettle? black?

I agree with utectok-being new is simply not a good enough excuse for this kind of behaviour-whenever you carry a gun you are an ambassador for our sport and behaving like an idiot looks bad on us all.If you cannot despatch any quarry that you hunt quickly and humanely then may i suggest that you learn these skills before you continue hunting.

we could all possibly guess who stole these items and have a good chance of finding them if we were allowed to search the sites where the ******** live.Unfortunatly, according to my local plod, this is an infringement on their human rights.Last year we had 8 caravans stolen from our village when the milton keynes site doubled in size-how many were found?-none-one chap even saw them nicking a van from his farm and gave the police the registration number-nothing-the police know the chap and have arrested him several times for similar offences but dont have the resources to find him .

Why not buy a decent 1inch set and get a local engineering company to run a 26mm reamer thru them for you?-put a .010" feeler gauge between the ring faces first though.
-
Ive always been told that grease picks up and holds anything that touches it-i.e. dirt, sand and minute particles of metal/lead from the gun.It then turns this mixture into a cutting paste that ruins your gun in time-use a light gun oil and clean the area regularly with a toothbrush
-
s410-expensive , yes but you get what you pay for, besides the 410 there are plenty of other models available-try the s200 in 4.5mm on pigeons-job done!

Hi-im willing to bet that if you switch to either Eley extra or RWS subs you will never switch back-CCI are no match .

If you have the cash and you have plenty of pests that need clearing then go for the PCP every time-there is simply no comparison in terms of accuracy and ease of use between a springer and the far superior PCP.Let me try answer the rest of your concerns.1/Your compressor is not likely to get anywhere near the pressure needed to fill an airgun-i.e. nearly 3000 psi-so you will need either a source of compressed air and a divers bottle or a stirrup pump designed for airgun use (i use a pump-cheaper and keeps you fit!) 2/Ive never worried about buying a used PCP-theres very little to wear out so you are unlikely to buy a knackered one-you could always buy used from a dealer and thus get a warranty.3/In your price range you should get a reasonable choice if you go for used-i would go for an Air Arms S200-ugly but excellent hunting rifles-for £350 you should be able to get one with a decent scope and silencer (dont even think about using one for hunting without a decent silencer) 4/Never felt the need for a multi-shot gun but can see that there are advantages. 5/To find the last answer try and borrow a PCP or blag a trip out with someone who has one-you will soon see how obvious the answer is-bruno.

I think that ,annoying as they may be,we should be seen to be co-operating with them in a frank and polite manner. They are no different to us in any way other than their opinions which i respect. We are all basically doing our best to prevent animal cruelty-so i salute them and would help them as much as i can-unless ,of course, they get pushy or holier than thou-in which case they can fork off.

shame-im in bucks. Are the rabbits going thru a fence at any point or do you just have runs over your land.If they go via a fence then its easy street.Make or buy your wires (if you buy the brass ones you need to leave them outside in the weather for weeks until they dull)-rub your hands on the grass nearby to remove some of your scent and place the snares over the runs and attach to the fence. The noose needs to be loose but a slight kink in the wire will keep it in shape and stop it from sliding closed. You need the noose dia big enough to put a tennis ball thru easily and it should be 2-3 inches off the ground at its lowest point. If the run is wide you can push sticks into the ground to guide the bunnies into your snares.Cover as many runs as possible and urinate (to be posh) over any that are either unreachable or if you run out of wires.Make sure that the snares are well anchored as a rabbit is pretty strong and will escape from a poorly fixed wire.Check your snares at least twice a day but be wary of leaving them in one place too long unless you want to wipe out the rabbits in that area. After a couple of weeks you will soon learn what works best -once you have got the knack of snaring you will realise just how easy it is-good luck-bruno.
-
where are you?-snaring rabbits is like falling off a log-piece of cake.Dont waste money buying them-find a farmer who has got some multi-strand electric fence wire (not the stuff with nylon in it) and blag as much as you can.

Never let yourself rely on diagrams-one of my uncles studied African big cats for months before deciding to use the old method of shooting them between the eyes. When he eventually managed to afford to go on safari-we were amazed to hear that he had been mauled to death by two one-eyed tigers walking arm in arm.

Tell her you couldnt get what you decided to buy her so you had to order it-the bloody shop only rang yesterday to say that they were having difficulties getting it as well but they are trying their best-this buys you time.If you got a card then copy some bits of an obscure poem into it and tell her you have been working on it for ages-if you havnt then tell her all the cards you have looked at are rubbish so you thought you would buy her 5 lottery tickets instead-but you want her to pick the numbers. If all else fails then buy her a ciggy lighter-if she smokes then it will be usefull-if she doesnt then at least she hasnt already got one!

jr1960-well done buddy-youve had your share of ****e thrown at you but you havnt quit-top man-its a crying shame that this country isnt made up of blokes like you-best of luck to you-bruno

never **** against the wind.If a pigeon lands then forget sporting manners-shoot the stupid thing.Remember that theres old pigeons and theres stupid pigeons but theres no old stupid pigeons.

am i dreaming or do i recall the 35 has a drooping barrell?-i guess the best way to check if yours is faulty is to find someone local who has one-strip off the scopes and lay them upside down side by side-any difference in barrell alignment should be aparent-good luck-bruno.
