All cancers have been on the raise over the last three to four decades, while there maybe a many reasons for this, I believe that the raise in childhood cancers are down in part to all the testing that went on and the radiation they we put in the atmosphere, I don't know if I'm right or wrong, it's only what I believe, When I say "we" I'm not blaming anyone country, I say "we" as in the whole of the human race.

Sorry to hear about that. But the good thing is that it was only a small one and you are here to tell the tail. Good luck with any hospital visits , I hope that they can put it all right with an op, or that they can treat it with meds and lifestyle change. The latter one is best around, easyer and better than any op. Good luck with everything mate.

I have an old book with a similar title. I have put it away so the kids don't find it. Not that they would see it as racist , they are only six and don't see things that way. To them it would just be a book. But I would not like them to go into school and talk about the book. I will when they are older and can understand these things show them the book. After all it will belong to them one day , you never know it might even be worth some money one day. As time goes on I bet these are harder and harder to find as people have binned them It's sad really as these little books are seen as "no go" areas for kids. As they were never intended to be racist , they were just story book about people from other parts. Of the empire, My kids have lots of books. And most modern books have people of all colours in them and story about both .

I had a great granddad at the Somme. He came back alive but lost an eye , he had it shot out. I'm not sure about my other side of the family. I'm sure there were other distant members of my family who would have served. Maybe died , I think most family's at the time lost family in the war. My house was built in 1900. I have often wondered if the ma. Or the boy of the house left one morning in his uniform to go off and fight for king and country , did he come back safe? Hurt? Or did his family have a knock at the door and a letter off the king ? And to think that within 20 years of the end of the war to end all wars. We were back at it,

When I replace the chicken house I think I will get a plastic one. I think the company's called green frog? They make some.nice ones. Not cheap but should last a lo.g time. It will not be for a couple of years I think. As the wooden one I have is very well made . And made out of strong think wood.

Around 2:00am Friday morning we were hit with thunder and lighting , it was a great show. Woke up to very heavy rain last night and its still going on now , eight hours after it first started. Weather report says it's in for the day and the storm passes over the country. Just in time for the school summer holiday, the children broke up yesterday. Just waiting now until late tomorrow and Monday morning ing to hear the flood reports on the news.
