  1. you can see the mk2 in front of R10
  2. Mk2 has it written on the side of the action.
  3. Guy at shooting club had a tin when they were first release and we couldnt get them to group in any of the air-rfiles we had at the club. They were suppose to be a lot lighter and good in springers but they were next to useless in my Webley Longbow SE Springer.
  4. 37% for me.... Not sure what to make of this. I think i need another Beer.....
  5. BSA R10 Great piece of kit love mine.... Just under 200 shots per fill, Nice and light, Extremely accurate, Looks good to..... Mines a slightly modified early Mk1.... here's she is........
  6. I Have sold numerous vehicles on Ebay and always insisted on cash. Only exception to the cash only rule was. I sold a Audi Quattro i owned, i had it advertised as a buy it now on Ebay. I took it to their house which was only 3 miles from where I lived they loved it hit the buy it now and paid for it via paypal all while I was still at their house I went onto my account checked it out it went thru in a few minutes they gave me a lift home and all was done and dusted no problems. I sold my M3 to a guy from Holland who paid the fuel for me to deliver it to Harwich dock 200 mile round trip, where i met him and he paid me nice crisp notes but was short £100 cost for the fuel we agreed on so he gave me it in euro’s which i didn’t find a problem. With the exchange rates i actually came off better. Then when i sold my Toyota Supra a guy from Germany brought it and he came over to Hull on the ferry and got a taxi to my house that’s over 200miles...., paid the full amount in cash and drove it all the way back to Germany. He actually followed the taxi driver from my house back to Hull.. Not sure what the total distance that would have been from Germany to my house and back. Got an email from him thanking me for being honest and how good the car was... Pajero i owned also sold on Ebay. No problems guy came paid cash and went on his way. So i would have no problem with anyone buying anything off me but i always insist on cash. Just make sure that you fill all the paper work in correctly. Good luck Darren
  7. I feel for ya Taxidriver, and wish you all the best in achieving your goal. This thread has sort of hit a nerve…… I myself need to lose weight. I am the typical beer barrel my arms and legs are skinny(Chicken legs) yet my belly is huge. I put this down to spending 12hours a day stuck at my desk with Zero exercise, Excessive eating and drinking lots of Beer… When I got married 15 years ago I was fairly fit. I gained a bit of weight as everyone does when they get married, But hovered around the 12 - 13stone mark for years. Which at 6ft, big build is not a bad weight I think… My biggest problem is over the course of several years of working overseas with a Combination of good and Bad food and copious amounts of Beer it soon added up to me weighing 120kg’s approx 19stone. In 2007 me and a Good friend that I was working with in Siberia decided we needed to do something about our weight so he tried the fruit diet, I don’t like fruit so I tried the Cambridge diet. We both lost some weight, I lost a stone in the first few weeks great but it all came on as quick as I lost it. So we both gave up on that idea… Then he came up with the crazy idea of doing army fitness, So we decided our goal was not to lose weight but to get fit enough to join the T.A., We took this pretty serious in that we purchased desert army clothing and boots and got 2 replica Army issue SLR rifles made out of steel and wood ours weighed about 4kg’s that was about 1kg less than the proper thing, But still you knew you were carrying it. We both also Purchased army burgen’s and webbing so we could load them with 20kg’s to do the 6 mile Jog/Hike. The details of the army fitness can be found on the web. Basically we done a 6mile jog/walk once a week with full kit and every other day we done a combination of beep test(Which I downloaded on to my ipod) and 1.5mile jog. Sit-ups etc we just done a few each day. They were my short fall I hated the sit-ups… We Charted this on log sheets and it was good looking back at our times getting better and better as time went on. The idea of a goal other than just to lose weight seemed to have worked I think it was a psychological thing!! We also changed our diet slightly but still really ate what we wanted and all was going well until my Buddy got transferred to another part of the world and I stopped. Over the course of 12months of doing the army fitness I had managed to get down to 102kg’s Just about a 3stone loss and I felt a great improvement in my overall fitness. But over the last few years I went back up to 18stone and back down again to the 17 stone that I weigh today(That’s if the scales I used here are accurate)… So I have just over 10months to fulfill the promise I made to myself just over a year ago! That is to get down to a healthy weight before my 40th Birthday. Thanks to this thread It has made me think about it again. I know I can do it I just need to get off my **** and Do-It!!!!
  8. I can highly recommend BF Goodrich AT tyres great in all conditions. I installed a 2" lift on my Jeep to allow for a taller tyre to be fitted. I am planning to go a little bit higher as I went on my first off-road day last month and thoroughly enjoyed it.... Try Adrian flux for insurance they also gave me off-road cover and all mods were recorded on a vehicle modification sheet. I had cheaper quotes online but none of them could confirm the lift or if I was covered off-road. One important thing is make sure you have good tow points front and rear if your thinking of going off-road.
  9. I have BF Goodrich AT on my Grand Cherokee fitted them about a year ago. They are great low road noise and great in all conditions. I actually found they stopped a lot better than the pirelli road tyres i had installed before, even in the wet.... They have seen snow, deep sand( Beach fishing) and the muddy farm tracks and also done extremely well on a recent off-road day.I do mostly road probably 90%. I Would highly recomend. For your information i have 245/75/16's fitted
  10. This is something that really hits home, Having two lovely Cocker spaniels myself and having one of them going missing several times, But luckily always got her back, I know some way how your feeling. Hope you get her back soon and I have posted on other forums to give you some more coverage. Darren

Hi Paul i would suggest BSA R10 Excellent gun and over 150 shots in .22 Cal. Weihrach HW 100 also very good but not sure of the shot count.
  12. Hi Steve,

  14. I was in the middle of writing a reply in favour of the my 4.7L V8 LPG Grand cherokee but i done the figures and all i can say is i agree with you ARGGGHHHHHH! No wonder i am poor...
  15. I’m also with the others the Weihrauch would be a good choice. I have shot several different models of airrifles mainly thru club I am a member of. One that sticks in my mind was a Hw90 the guy wanted £200, I liked a lot it was extremely accurate and smooth, it did feel a bit on the heavy side, but it was very well balanced and felt right when shouldered. I was very tempted……but I hesitated and the guy sold it before the next club meet which was only a couple of days. I was gutted. Just had a quick check and Weihrauch HW57K,77K,80K,95K AND 97k are all within your budget new. The only Springer I own is a Webley Longbow SE, Would I recommend it to you? Yes I would. Its within your budget new. It is extremely accurate and has a very nice walnut thumbhole stock. The only downsides to this is cocking of the Webley is a tad hard, I have to give it a substantial tap to break the barrel in order to load pellet. After a hour at the club punching paper your starting to feel it and wishing you had a PCP.( But if you’re using it mainly for hunting then this shouldn’t be any problem.) . You asked about the BSA lightning once again a cracking rifle but looks a bit strange with the barrel shrouded?? Also it feels short… I was really impressed with its ease of use and accuracy. Good value for money in my opinion. One for sale on here second hand for 140 I think. Definitely a Cheaper option!! But I think you would be happier with a Weihrauch. If possible it would be a good idea for you to go along to a club and there you can try out different rifles. See which one you like. I know at our club the members will be more than willing to let you try their rifles. Good luck in you quest..
  16. Dont dismiss Jeeps! Cherokee or Grand Cherokees lot of vehicle for your money. Biggest down side is very high Fuel consumption. They are more than capable off-road too.
  17. Just got a reply and they wont insure my modified Jeep. They suggested Adrian-Flux but he wanted £680 that is double what i was paying for my imported Supra as a secondd vehicle.
  18. Helmets getting stuck in, Flat hats just chillin.
  19. Hi Ian, I agree try and get down a local club and see what other shooters are using. There are lots of good PCP's out there and all pretty good and everyone will have a favourite. Mine is my BSA R10. Great rifle. But i also have other PCP rifles and all very good. The Weihrach HW100 is a great piece of kit my Bro has had one for ages now but last few years he hasnt used it a lot it sat for over a year and he took it out and it was still spot on. If you give us a price range the recomendations can be a bit more specific. Also remember you will need a way to charge your PCP either a dive bottle cost around £150+ or a Pump around £125.
  20. Grand cherokee is a great vehicle, Will agree bit small if sitting in the rear seats,(Unless you compare it to my wifes Peugot convertable) But is Very relaible and very, Very comfortable. Mine is year 2000 petrol V8 with gas conversion and love it to bits. Very respectable both looks and comfort whilst being used as the family car then more than capable when needed off-road. Owned mine for coming up to a year and covered about 10,000miles with no problems apart from an central locking problem it had when i got it that was fixed under warranty. Why is this?
  21. SGC First Application. Posted – 23rd November 2010 FEO – Called 9th December 2010 (But I was away working) FEO Visited – 18th January 2011 Received – Approx 4th February So i think if i was available for the first Visit i would of had my Certificate in Approx 5 weeks.
  22. I Have Canon EOS Not sure model but is brilliant, Was going to buy a Nikon as I always classed them above Canon but when I upgraded my old non digital SLR I went for the canon mainly because the lenses from my old one fitted the new digital one and i had loads of other goodies , Remote switch etc.. But as said previously it’s like comparing Audi vs BMW........ Sure you won’t be disappointed whichever one you go for... Also when i got my first SLR many many years ago i didn’t have a clue how to use it. I basically just wanted a SLR camera because someone got me to take a picture of them in Dublin airport and i was amazed how i could Zoom in on her looking through the camera... so within a few days I was the proud owner of an Canon EOS SLR... Actually this was the first Camera i ever owned...But as i said... i didn’t have a clue what to do with it...So i went to College and ended up really getting into my photography. Well actually 4 years at college part time..... Then Got it in my head I wanted a career change I wanted to be a photographer. Had enough of working in the Oil industry only for reality to kick in....One day when i win the lottery who knows....
  23. Permissions about 15miles 30min drive sometimes 45min if town busy. Clubs 12miles 30min and 26miles about 1hour
  24. I also think good idea.. Nice one mpk....
  25. I had my safe a year before i got round Applying for my SGC. As above i used it for my Airguns and still do. FEO was more concerned where the cabinet was ie. out of sight from anybody (not in view of a window)and he definately never swung off the door.
