  6. Happy Birthday John and may you enjoy many more to come 🍻🀝. Hopefully you will get out and bag yourself a Birthday Goose which I've achieved for several years and hope to do this coming Saturday πŸ™
  7. I have for years used a Aya 3" Magnum no3 1/4 an 1/2 choke with 3" steel homeload B's 2's along with factory HP Steel as yet no problems a very good friend is a big fan of BBB Steel and puts it through full and extra full choke. My grandson has a Aya Matador 10 with 3/4 and 1/2 choke with factory steel 1's along with homeload B's and 2's again no problems. But having said this the choice is down to each individual. πŸ‘
  8. Thank you. Was the whole Marsh still open for shooting eg you could still shoot in front of the Snettisham bird reserve as i believe it was taken by RSPB 1981 ????
  9. Ditchman have you any wildfowling pictures of your days on Lynn and what years was you a member. General interested as i shot Lynn for years on a very regular basis and keep racking my brain trying to place you. John Redheads houseboat was on the bend at Wolverton. Fond memories never to be forgotten πŸ‘
  10. Good to see Jack out wagging his tail enjoying being with you Simon excellent shooting again πŸ‘
  11. Tell me about old age with the driving then chasing Pink's for three mornings on the trot on Lincolnshire and Norfolk foreshores definitely takes it toll now 😞 Tony in my wildest dreams did i ever think I'd shoot a Pink under the moon with a 2 Bore . Thanks mate for the opportunity a night i will never forget 🀝
  12. Hiya Tony hope you are keeping well . πŸ‘ They definitely in the last few years due seems to shift around a lot. Hopefully this moon will see another good influx plus a few casualty's πŸ€πŸ€πŸ‘
  13. Can't you take a few and send them back Harry πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Interesting though as i saw a few good skiens this morning not to far from where you used or still shoot that was that high they looked like Mallard heading in the direction of yourself πŸ‘
  14. Thanks Harry πŸ‘ i think they have been hiding up North as good numbers have finally made it into Lincolnshire and Norfolk unfortunately several should have stayed North πŸ€πŸ€πŸ‘
  15. So the general opinion is most of the Pinkfeet Geese have morfed into Pheasant Partridge and Woodcock πŸ™„
  16. Thanks for your reply πŸ‘ i honestly don't know as it's been mild for several years now but they have still turned up as yet I have to say i have never seen or heard so few in probably 30 year's 😞
  17. For obvious reasons i won't give exact locations. As with previous seasons early September saw the Pink's arrive disappear which is normal behaviour in Lincolnshire Norfolk Suffolk but as yet the normal big numbers you would expect at these locations are missing. Yes most have a few Pink's regular now but lacking in numbers only this morning a Fowler phoned me saying a place well known in Norfolk which at this time of the year should have 30 thousands upwards of Pink's has only 2-2.5 thousand. Are they still in serious numbers North England and Scotland yes we have a Moon again soon but if they do turn up I'd estimate they would be 3- 4 week's late. I see/ hear Bean Geese are already been seen recorded 3 weeks ago which is early also it would seem Whitefront are gaining momentum πŸ€žπŸ™ Look forward to some thoughts from others who chase the Pink's.
  18. Very well done πŸ‘ been a lot of years since i shot one of those in the UK 😞
  19. Good to see Jack out enjoying himself. Excellent shooting again. Thanks for taking the time and effort to compare the two scopes 🀝
  20. Excellent shooting again Simon πŸ‘ Still have not used mine apart from zeroing it on my 6.5x55 . Fingers crossed i shoot as well as you later this week as I'm off hopefully sorting a few Rutting Fallow Bucks
  21. Excellent as always Simon. Good to see Jack enjoying himself πŸ‘ Good to see a honest review of the Hikmicro Alpex A50 . I have zeroed mine but as yet no had time to test it out
  22. I've got some Steel shot data. To be totally honest I'm not 100% sure about it. Also a good trusted mate knows a few Finnish and Danish reloaders and they use Alliant Steel an Lil-Gun powder again not fully trusting Vhitavauri Data. Having said that if you search enough you will find that one of the Factory cartridge companies use it πŸ‘
  23. Totally agree John they are not wildfowlers just gun blasters who like hear their guns fired as quick as they can or as a good friend says they just " Spray an Pray " myself personally i keep reporting at every opportunity. Since i last posted a landowner phoned to say Geese everywhere ☺️
