  1. Apologies for straying off topic. Unfortunately John unless the shooters are on Club ground or Foreshore where hopefully they will be brought before a committee these types will always give Semi Auto Pumps and 3 barrel guns a bad name along with wildfowlers in general. Each season for more years than i care to mention let's just say I've educated several know doubt this season will be no exception. Numbers of Pink's steadily building i know of three different two thousand plus which seemed to have settled for the season πŸ‘
  2. I know of two different wildfowlers who got really excited ( 1 ) morning flight Pink's Infront of them come day break not a sound or sight as they went back on the tide to ???? (2) evening a good few hundred looking good for morning flight next morning nothing heard or seen both these incidents was on the was different area within two days. Typical September Pink's turn up and can be gone in a few hours. I had 3 thousand for day and half then gone most will head east until the October influx when they will then stay in their usual winter haunts
  3. Ballistic Products have them will ship to UK normally takes 7-10 days or do as i adviced mylar wrap ordinary wads easy job done

    Stubbles

To be totally honest in the many years I've shot Geese on stubbles I've never seen grain laying around always amazed me what they are eating until the regrowth starts sprouting .

    Stubbles

They are known to keep feeding for weeks and weeks provided they are not shot due to eating the young regrowth.
  6. John ( Marsh Man ) there are already some in your area and I'd imagine that by the end of the weekend that several will be around. Good luck when you start having a look with gun and dog πŸ‘
  7. Yep Fallow along with Red's very very had work 14 years i keep those numbers up and done Park culling also which hand on heart i hated but done to keep my stalking on 14000 acres estate. To old and knackered now but still thankfully retain the knack ( some may see it as murderous killing ) and equipment to take multiple Fallow and Red's when they need taking in check. My opinion text and type does not come across as a face to face conversation. To be clear i have no issues whatsoever with out of season control night or day ( done legally ethically and humanly) i myself use NV - Thermal along with traditional scopes and man enough to let others do as they see fit ( if you really knew me I'd be a hypocrite if i did criticize) also I'm man enough big enough to 🀝 and move on Life is to short πŸ‘
  8. Good to hear Dave have a good season when you start. πŸ‘ 9 very quickly turned to 151 on a place i shoot in Norfolk and landowners claiming regular goose calling during the Moon light. So the fun begins ☺️
  9. Get a grip please. Envious of someone who has to post videos to boost their over inflated ego's. 200 Fallow woopy do i regally shot far more than that year in year out single handed in season in daylight hours. And now I yes I choose to bow out of this pointless Thread. But know doubt you'll have to have the last word trying to put someone down you know Jack about. πŸ€«πŸ‘Ž
  10. πŸ˜‚πŸ€£ Yep just as i thought i should have done the lottery as i could have predicted your type of reply. Oh as you have seen I will post when i choose to not when you tell me not to sorry ask me not to. 🀭
  11. First i was/am not trying to cause trouble. Having shot for over 50yrs Stalked Deer for the same time ( without trying to sound/come across as a know all ) i have plenty of experience/knowlage ) As for a PM not a chance get it out in the open so all can see and able to voice their opinions. Nobody is perfect or knows everything and I'm definitely one of those. Enjoy your Deer Shooting and time on here and SD . Just for the record i control various Birds/Animals out of season-protected with the given License and have done for over 40 years . If and that's a big if i personally posted pictures or videos i 100% make sure PW members would see/know why and how they was shot to save bun fight's but then again i personally would try not to post those types of videos/ pictures. Repeating myself again your life your shooting your choices πŸ‘ not mine Thank you πŸ‘ i was beginning to think my eyes and old grey matter have failed me πŸ˜‚
  12. Yep back end of the Moon gets them going. Seen several reports of Pinks coming in with numbers building and migration getting stronger. β˜ΊοΈπŸ‘
  13. Thank you Alan I'm pleased you got my meaning of my posts πŸ‘
  14. I'm fully aware of what's what ( legal and illegal)Both Deer Stalking and Bird shooting. What's DSC1 got to do with the time set on your Thermal Scope. Again just my personal opinion but that video shows Fallow Does being shot with very small fawns around. Your video your choices i was just trying to be helpful as how it could/can look eg Deer being shot illegally. And if you read my post i did say " i hope I'm wrong"
  15. Do hope I'm wrong. But the time on the video eg 20.10 - 21+ in November Fallow doe's . Not the sort of Video I'd be putting on here or SD as it indicates shooting Fallow after dark ( 1hr after sun set or 1hr before sunrise be legal) unless of course you have a night licence
  16. Excellent results Simon πŸ‘ Made me smile about Jack my old lab Saturday morning done a similar thing whilst waiting for Geese to flight he decided his belly being rubbed was far more important. Looking forward to your next video 😊
  17. Myself personally I'd get it fixed. I've a old Aya no3 3" Magnum which cost Β£60 I've had it repined/tightened up for a small fee. If you have no one local Alan Wright from March Cambridgeshire I'm sure could sort it for you. If you need his contact details just ask πŸ‘
  18. I've got a box of Eley Hymax 7's ( 1-1/4oz ) also a couple of Eley Olympic Trench again 1-1/4oz 7's all paper case's
  19. Firstly Good luck and be safe πŸ‘ I don't know your area but where i shoot Lincolnshire Norfolk coast it's horrendous early season for knat's and bitey bug's they even annoy the dog's 😀
  20. Thank you for your reply. Yes i did suggest to my brother to send it to Mandel or Teal chokes. πŸ‘
  21. Wow that's some weight mate 😳 you'd laugh at our Muntjac size but we can get some Big lowland Red's. I personally think you have some sound rules then in Australia shame we don't have a few over here ( i won't go into which one's) again these are only my personal opinions. Keep putting video and pictures up please πŸ‘
  22. My brother has just bought a 28 bore Webley&Scott 928 . The 900 series take a Mobil choke the 902k hugli choke now the 928 chokes has the threads at the bottom has anyone any ideas as to what they are as he is looking for extended chokes for steel shot. Any pointers would be gratefully received Thank you in advance πŸ‘
  23. mchughcb. My references to why I'd of head shot them was . Night Shooting and heavy cover also not wanting any Deer to run on All my park culling is head shot ( not my decision) Wild free roaming Deer rib shot 100% or if getting dark or near thick cover high shoulder/hilar shot also i have dogs if needed. Having seen many videos etc at times things don't look as the shooter see's that why i posted " i wasn't there" I've shot serious numbers of Deer over the last 50 years so have a idea how to go about it . I generally are interested in your way of doing things also what sort of weight do those Deer go. Was your video about a special Deer cull at night or a you allowed to shoot deer at night in general. I've seen other videos of night shooting of crop damaging Deer in Australia. πŸ‘
