  1. I keep looking at this and have had contact with Sean, not quite sure what I'd get out of it though, I have a couple of small bunny permissions so can anyone tell me what more I'd get out of it?
  2. Don't be silly, we need to keep him locked up and pay him thousands in compensation every time somebody trys to off him!!! >Story is here< Makes my blood boil!
  3. IMO, the reason is detailed above. You've posted about an issue of IQ, making everyone aware of it...but demonstrated an inability to correctly spell either the title or the opening post, that's ironic...and to me amusing. It's not to do with whether you can or can't spell, nobody really cares about that, it's to do with the circumstance of the post. Don't take it too personally.
  4. I'd second the AirArms S410 with probably a Hawke 3-9x50 scope (good value and adequate for starters). I use a S400 in .177, it's good for at least 45 yards, a bit more if you're capable of the accuracy, the gun is. I use a Hawke 3-9x40 which is good enough most of the time, but I suspect I could do better in the twilight with a bigger objective lens. The Hw100 is a good gun too...but HEAVY in comparison, not an issue if shooting targets but if you have to lug it across a field or two you'll notice it.
  5. Chill out Beerdeor, as you can see from the above it's only a case of a bit of boredom and high (low?) jinks. If it was that serious then just about every thread on here would be pulled apart! It's just that this one was too obvious to turn up. Personally, so long as it's reasonably easy to understand, that'll do for me. It's a country sports forum not a poetry society. Of course, if you want to write like Shakespeare then that's even better!
  6. Some of us don't have to go through every post looking for speling/grammar mistakes, we just read the posts and see them. That's because we can spel and form a grammatically correct sentence. For those that can't, there is something called a spel checker. Those who can't spel or put a grammatically correct sentence together, really should consider one, especially when using a medium that's reliant on the written word.
  7. It might be 'old as the hills' but fortunately it's still bloody funny!
  8. Yeah! 'cos that would be just plain daft wouldn't it? I mean, who in their right mind would cock one arm around the stock and support the imaginary forend with t'other and mutter "boom" at the imaginary shot with no actual gun within a country mile?! Nutters!
  9. Cheers for that, I'm in Rustington regularly. A good mate of mine lives there...who happens to be a cert holder too! Handy! I'm not in a rush, have a couple of hundred here but will contact him after the 16th, thanks.
  10. You've got to love that! Errors in the OP's opening title and opening post...in a thread about IQ, oh the irony!
  11. Has anyone tried the Deben electronic defenders...seem pretty good value at £50-ish?
  12. Now I'm in a position to buy my carts from wherever I like, and with the ever increasing costs, I was wondering what you guys are using for clays and at what cost (and if necessary where from)? Just looking to minimise the costs. I currently use RC2 Comps in 24g 7.5's, but that's mainly because it's what my main ground hold!!!!
  13. Indeed it does, but what isn't established as yet is the cost of postage, that'll be why I said 'subject to cost'. If it's reasonable, as I fully expect it to be, then the jobs a goodun, I'll be after the net. As it stands I've stated my interest along with several others.

  15. Will be very interested in a woodland net and quite posibly a desert too, so put me on the 'provisional' list please subject to cost.
  16. Thanks for the answers, had me panicking a bit. Shot with it today and as per usual, the biggest problem is the user, not the tool! Was just a case of the trigger not resetting due to no recoil, thanks.
  17. That is a stunning air rifle mate, quite jealous of that one!
  18. It will need to re-lead before it regains its former accuracy, not sure if that affects muzzle velocity/power though.
  19. Ok, it's a new gun to me, and as you do, I was 'playing' with it earlier. It has snap caps that were in and I was pulling the trigger, however, I found that it was only 'firing' once. When I pulled the trigger again there was nothing, if I set and unset the safety it would then fire the other barrel. Does it need a cartridge fired in it to reset the trigger? Have I set something and not realised? Or, is it going straight back to the gun shop? It's 10 years old but the condition suggests very light use.
  20. Shirt and mug received this morning, thanks.
