Seeing as the discussion is about the best lyricist, the voice and presence don't come into it. He was a great performer, but no great lyricist.

Still trickling away. Not had a week yet where I haven't lost, often only a pound sometimes 2, but 17lb lost now....

Much like LS, I generally don't like rap/hip-hop, call it what you will, but Eminem's in a different league. The mans lyrics are, at times, stunning!

I've got the Roar II jacket, it was about on the money size wise. I'm 6 feet and 13.5 stone with reasonably broad shoulders, a Large fits me well. Cracking coat. Especially when you consider the price.

Haven't a clue as to what it will be...I should be a meteorologist! :-) I'm an optimist though so went for the 'scorcher' option!

Apaches are good and popular, I also like Nagas and Habaneros.

You may be right, but she is a Labrador, and she'll eat every bloody thing else she can so why turn up a nice, warm pigeon when she gets the chance? Knowing her, she would give it a go if she thought there was the slightest chance of getting away with it!

Sounds perfect to me, and no, its not too late...if you get a wiggle on!

My lab gets raw pigeon but doesn't try and eat downed birds, just retrieves as expected. She won't get fed anything other than breast meat though so probably doesn't associate the meat with the feathered mouthful!

Is a ban the solution to water birds and lead?
-Mongrel- replied to Beretta06's topic in General Shooting Matters
Agreed on all points. It's well documented that the ducks tested came from game shoots, ergo it's game shooters who shot them with lead. Kent Wildfowlers....I'm quite certain Alan Jarrett would go bananas and the members concened banned for life IF this was proven. Which it probably won't be as it's your word against theirs, I'd still make the report though just so they know that the club are on to them. All wildfowling clubs I've had any involvement or contact with have an immediate ban in place for anyone caught using lead on 'fowl, and all 'fowlers I know rigidly stick to non toxic loads. -
would you stay clear of a discovery with high mileage

LOL! Only 4 years? -
So long as you remain defiant I'm sure you will triumph!

Might be a bit too much of a trek for me at 5.5 hours traveling each way.

Still trickling along, 2 more pounds down this week.

I did mate and PM'd you to let them know they'd turned up, I'm assuming you didn't see it? Either way, yes, and thank you very much. I will be looking to get them in shortly!

+ another 1. 32g 6's for me.

Chichester wildfowlers has a one year mentored introduction, you cannot shoot without a full member. At the end of that is a practical exam consisting of bird recognition, around 40 birds on cards that you need to name, and a large board of mounted birds/heads/wings/complete that you also need to be able to identify, followed by an interview type of exam where you are asked about rules/regulations and boundaries etc. It was quite stressful, but they are a particularly visible bunch as its a very busy harbour, it's rare that you get out and don't see dog walkers etc, so I guess they need you to be really on top of your game!

  Good to see you 'manned up' to the wife! 16 grand to dip it in a salt marsh and roll it around a muddy field? Even if I had the money I wouldn't waste it like that.

You know what...I don't know. It's purely a figure I have heard mentioned on many occasions in various different places. Whether it is fact I don't know and Google throws up thousands of results on a search. Doesn't seem unfeasible though, I'm sure we've all seen pellets in and out and how rapidly that reduces with range. Would be nice to see some solid corroboration though, even just so I know I'm not talking ******** again! Anyone?

Top Gun , Leather Shooting Gloves, New & Seriously Cheap !!
-Mongrel- replied to flazz's topic in Other Sales
Got mine too, many thanks. -
LOL...but spot on!

Which, along with the rest of the post, seems to make sense. Bearing in mind that we only actually NEED 4ft/lb of energy to kill a rabbit, does it really matter if it goes straight through? I've not seen any brain shot rabbits get up and run away, regardless of whether there's one or two pellet holes in their head. I maintain that accuracy is the most important aspect. Hit the right spot, and a clean kill is the outcome.

Yup, that's what i thought too, but couldn't be ***** to make the same responses yet again about the same points being made. Quite ironic post bearing in mind the OP's starting thread. There's good and bad with all makes, some are built to a budget and that will always show. That said, I got a used Escort that I bought to wreck on the saltwater marshes, so cheap was always a requirement. 2 years on and its still going strong and is unmarked by the environment. So long as it's clean and shooting a sensible load (28g+) it's been faultless.

Bang on! My old man's a driving instructor and has been for 30 years. Started with BSM for a few years before branching out on his own for the last 20 years. Some pupils are naturals and can pass a test first time after half a dozen lessons, others just keep plodding on and on and on and on without ever really picking it up. he had one Indian lady who took and failed six tests, she just couldn't combine looking at the road ahead with checking her mirrors, failed again and again on observation! MOST instructors are genuinely trying to get their students through as safely and swiftly as possible, but as in all walks of life, there will always be those that try and take the pee!

They like to make themselves feel superior.
