  1. Did you pay much for them? Have fun with the refurbs.
  2. If nothing else, take this offer to your current boss and see if he can improve your deal?
  3. Yeah maybe, but then if everyone had a shotgun, could they not just bring their's with them...or are burglars not homeowners? So when exactly would you decide to shoot and which bit are you going to target for your non-mortal shotgun attack? Best avoid the legs just in case you peg the femoral artery, maybe you could ask him to stick his arms out and shoot him in the hands (two shots obviously), while he's rushing forward to attack you, in the dark, with a shotgun. Don't forget it was the burglars who turned up armed with a fence post, it just turned out that they were nowhere good enough for the guy they decided to rob!
  4. Heaviest from decent manufacturers I can find are H&N Rabbit Magnums 15.74 grain followed by, Crosman Premier Ultra Magnum 14.3 grain. Would you really want to use any heavier? Eun Jin apparently produce a 16 grain pellet but never heard of them so won't add them in. Do you really need such a heavy pellet? I only use a 10 grain pellet for hunting so would be asking them to set it up for what I use or a touch heavier.
  5. ****! So, you can't bash someone with a fence post breaking his legs, but you can shoot them with your shotgun probably causing much more long term damage! Mate, sometimes you really are comical.
  6. Trouble with that is that in a years time they will have someone else doing the job, and if he does it well, why would they then offer the position?
  7. The eat less than you expend diet for me. Cut breakfast back to a small, healthy as poss for me portion. I take a packed lunch, generally a wrap rather than a sandwich, some fruit and a 'treat' small flapjack or similar. Then no snacking until a considered evening meal (no processed food, only 'real' meat, fish and poultry) which is protein and a couple of veg. If it's potatoes, pasta or rice, then portion control comes into play, pretty much a CUP full is the limit, or 3 med spuds.
  8. The vented are fitted with the passive filter.
  9. I have tried these, make sure you really pack them into your ear properly, don't talk or open your jaw while they are setting...and you may get a decent result. I didn't get on with the fit or like the look of the end result I finished up with.
  10. CENS are expensive, the ones I linked you to have just cost me £80 with a passive filter fitted and delivered.
  11. You'll probably speak with Antone, it's his gig. He's based in Dorset but apparently has countrywide agreements with audioligists to take the moulds. Let me know how you get on.
  12. I recently lost one on the marsh, my fault completely! Anyway, I had new moulds taken at a shoot about two weeks ago, and had a call today to say they're ready and about to be posted. Their site says...we are available throughout the country to consult directly with you. All our associates are qualified to British Society of Audiology Standards and carry appropriate certification. As I say though they had visited a ground which was convenient, give them a bell.
  13. Yup, because they need proper HD results with the best quality available. These obviously aren't GoPro standard, but if you don't need that quality, they look reasonable.
  14. It shouldn't make much difference to be honest if your dominance is correct, if anything you may, like me, find it distracting. The bead should not be the focus of you attention, it should be the clay, you should be staring at it as if it was about to jump your wife and then bring the gun up to the clay, you must be locked onto that target and allow the rib/bead to just be in your peripheral vision. My instructor calls it hard focus, I call it my death stare. I personally think you need to find a really good instructor by recommendation. I've used 3 instructors at my club but would only recommend one. Not saying the others are carp, but only one seems to be able to teach me in a way I comprehend properly.
  15. Dunno what your budget is, the CENS are good, but eye wateringly expensive! If you wanted a cheapish option of just ear muff style, what about the Napier Pro 9? Very compact and apparently all day comfy. I personally use moulded ear plugs with a passive filter, it allows you to hear speech and birds etc but filters the bangs. Many of my fellow shooting chums use them and are very happy, and at £80 including taking the mould, they aren't bank breakers. http://www.customearprotection.co.uk/applications/shooting/
  16. Are you sure it wasn't a 682? The 692 is a new model and a quick check didn't reference an older model with that number.
  17. IF you did decide to get another set of rims would full on MT's not be a better choice? That way you'd have a sensible set for summer and road use, and mud tyres for when it gets 'orrible. Oh, and personally I'd just grab a spare set of rims off ebay, they come up all the time.
  18. Quite possibly, need to check your part numbers out. I would have thought that traction control would make up for it though, never really heard of any model struggling for grip due to transmission issues to be honest.
  19. I very rarely need to go into low ratio, only really use it for controlled descents and when really struggling for grip in slop. Most of the time I get around fine in high ratio and diff lock engaged when it gets slick. If you don't have diff lock then in theory the traction control should keep you moving which really does suggest tyres. Can retrofit on SOME models, but if it doesn't have diff lock it has TC instead which should do similar, see here ... http://www.discovery2.co.uk/diff_lock.html
  20. Yeah, the Toyo's are all terrain tyres, ok for a bit of grass and light mud etc, not so good when it's been raining for the last 6 weeks. My Disco's awesome off road but it has full on mud tyres. Mud tyres and diff lock and we're going pretty well anywhere.
  21. A new, fully fitted, bespoke, Holland and Holland o/u 12g, something like 'The Royal' would be nice. ...and a nice old 8 bore fowling piece for expeditions to chase geese!
  22. Dunno who the winter Olympian (bobsleigher?) was on the last one...but YES PLEASE!!!
  23. Don't shoot it off the edge of the roof then, it's clearly not a safe shot.
