  1. It's not about grunt mate, it's emissions based. Most bikes are quicker than most cars.
  2. I think its called a retained testicle or Cryptorchidism and as said, is no real biggie. The problem is that the undescended testicle never gets to cool down as it should swinging in the breeze, and as such can suffer tumours etc, potentially malignant. I believe the recommendation is to get it sorted by three years old.
  3. Fairly valid point, and, if you don't try, you definitely won't get. Worth a read and a signature if you feel so inclined. https://submissions.epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/48869
  4. My missus has the HTC 1 and I went in to buy one but, was talked round by the manager. Know him well as my last phone, a Blackberry Torch piece of shhhhhh.... was replaced 7 times in 2 years, anyway, I digress, out of the 4 staff there, 2 of them are using Sony's...that spoke volumes to me and I have to say I like my phone more than the missus HTC.
  5. Totally loving my Sony Experia SP. Very fast, seems stable at the moment, long battery life etc. I could have had the Z1 but decided not to as, A. I wouldn't benefit from it, not being a gamer, B. It's considerably bigger than mine, and C. The contract cost is half of what I'd have been paying for the Z1. Edit: Just a thought, Vodafone had it on offer as well when I got mine (January) which literally made it half the monthly cost for the same amount of data/calls/texts, but even off offer it was £12/month cheaper.
  6. Well, there's two reviews from what appears to be the only two PW owners at the moment. Does that help? Indeed no, I'm waiting to see what Fenboy and AT make of them.
  7. Similar. A small but awkwardly placed tumour has been removed from the front knee of my Ridgeback X, I had recently changed insurance companies and was in a 'no claims' period when it suddenly swelled..... I think we're done now, £1760 later!
  8. Plenty of field shooters too, but not many on here have these decoys which MIGHT just explain why nobody's answered your question.
  9. +1000! I'll keep my money in my pocket until some real world pigeon shooters have used them for a season or more. £45 or more is not insignificant particularly if they lack robustness.
  10. This reads to me that it MAY be permitted as long as it's not flown? 11. Mods will have deleted it as they usually say these things should be dealt with by PM not aired on the forum... ...and of course it's having a pop at the mods and the draconian regime won't like that. I like this forum but do feel it is heavily moderated, I could of course just not use it, but wheres the fun in that? I just wince and shake my head on occasion.
  12. Well said and I couldn't agree more on both points!
  13. Very true, but I thought we were discussing how many to zero a scope in rather than how long for a gun to shoot consistently?
  14. No, he's not a COMPLETE ***. He is a *** a LOT of the time, but he can also be very humourous and has an infectious enthusiasm which I kinda like.
  15. What a load of old cobblers ya tree hugging anti!
  16. Probably 3 or 4 shots with an air rifle to get a good zero. Then another 10 probably at various different ranges to verify hold over/under.
  17. Only a pound this week, but in the right direction.
  18. I believe they changed the 'boxes after 2006 which appears to have resolved it.
  19. ...or Sea Bass. Ever seen a river Bass then? It's just Bass!
  20. But you've watched the previous series and gone back for more?
  21. +1! Really pees me off! Along with 'It's slippy' abd something along the lines of, 'each of these matching pens is totally unique...', it's either unique OR matching, it can't be both!
  22. ...and on that note I'll be the first. Just had this months scheduling in and I'm going to be in Eastbourne all that week now. I'm out of this one.
  23. Need to do it gradually, initially a mix of dried and raw slowly altering the ratio until he's on raw. Otherwise you are highly likely to have a dog with a very upset stomach.
  24. We did this one tonight, it's a weight watchers recipe and is surprisingly tasty as well as healthy and low fat. Only thing we found was that it was too cheesy, so reduced the soft cheese to 150g. Ingredients 225 g Haddock, raw, Smoked, skinless 225 g Salmon, grilled, fillets, skinless 1 leaf/leaves Bay leaf, dry 1 teaspoons Black Pepper 175 ml Skimmed Milk 125 g Prawns, Peeled & Cooked, cooked 200 g Medium Fat Soft Cheese 120 g Fat Free Natural Fromage Frais, 2 tsp parsley, chopped For the topping: 1 medium Leek, sliced 700 g Potato(es), Raw, peeled and cut into large chunks 1/2 tablespoons (level) Wholegrain Mustard Serves 4 Instructions Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 4/180ºC/fan oven 160ºC. Place the haddock and salmon in a small roasting tin, add the bay leaf, pepper and pour the milk over. Cover tightly with a piece of baking parchment and cook for about 10 minutes or until the fish just starts to flake. Strain the milk into a jug, then break the fish into pieces and place in a 1.25 litre (2 pint) baking dish (discard the bay leaf). Scatter the prawns on top. Meanwhile, whisk together 100ml of the strained, reserved milk with the soft cheese and fromage frais. Add the parsley and season to taste, then pour the sauce over the fish. Cook the leek in a pan of boiling water for 5 minutes or until soft. Drain well. In another pan, cook the potatoes in boiling water for 15–20 minutes or until tender. Drain, then mash with the mustard and the remaining strained milk. Stir in the leeks and season to taste. Top the pie with the leek mash, spreading the mixture out with the back of a fork. Cook for 25 minutes, until the sauce is bubbling, then place under a preheated grill for 5 minutes to brown the mash.
