How many rabbits are killed by PW members in 2012

Half a dozen last night. 4366 -
What does the Astra give you fuel wise? I do like them and am desperate to avoid a larger van....the bigger it is, the more **** you fill it up with! I'm going to have a look, but feel the fiesta may be too small. I am led to believe that the Vauxhall Combo is based around the Corsa, hence the respectable fuel figures, but it's 3 times the load area of the Fista.

It looks like I will need another van in the fairly near future. Can't buy new, and am looking for suggestions for a frugal car based van. I'm looking already at a Transit connect but don't know what their MPG is, and the Vauxhall combo that seems to do about 55 mpg average, both diesels of course. What do/did you have, and what was the economy like? Any other major pluses or minuses?

can we please ban the word "shottie"/"shotty"

Better boring than boorish. -
Absolutely! A mate ***-Brighton fishing guide and I took 8 in 2 hours a couple of weeks ago, and he and a client had 10 in the dark early last week, before it blew up,on lures! There are some good fish about mate, and if this weather holds long enough for the seas to clear enough, I'll be back out in the next day or two! With high water getting closer to dusk as the week wears on, it'd be rude not to! We are finding the first couple of hours past high to be productive.

You're going to have to back that one up. As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing wrong with 'Steve and I ... ', indeed, I would have said that it is correct and 'John and me...' is incorrect. Couldn't agree more...even if I may shortly be shown as less literate than I believe myself to be. -

12 that I can think of at the moment, ranging from a Puch Maxi, to a Yam DT125 and on to a 2006 Fireblade, Gsx-r 750 and the current steeds, a Blackbird for the road and a Zx-6R for track.

Ok, not to worry mate, I already have a 3/4 teague, thanks anyway.

Can't see the markings, but if the shorter collared one is the 1/2 choke, I may be interested? I am correct in that they are plain Invector, not the Invector Plus?

MOST USEFUL PIECE OF KIT YOU NEVER GO WITHOUT

It can be SO hard to resist! -
Similar over this way, Cod are starting to come out, Bass fairly regular, whiting becoming a pain in the ****! A few Pollack coming out of the rockier areas on lures!!!!

I have a bit of a problem with this story. A/ It's in the Daily Mail so guaranteed to have been sensationalised! B/ East Sussex and more so the Uckfield area is more farmland than urban sprawl, unlikely that this fox was 'urbanised' and most foxes run away from people rather than trying to eat them. C/ Looking at the scars on his face, did the fox only have teeth on one side of it's mouth? D/ In the dark, in a tent,(which is how lake/river anglers fish) how can he be so sure it was a fox?

Gun c/w carts. -
As far as I know, if there's no visible evidence, you don't know. I'll be very interested to hear how they do locate the area assuming thay can. I'm thinking maybe taking damp readings or similar? Let us know please, it could save me a lot of time in the future, digging pipes out of screed until you find it (by which time it is generally best to do it all anyway as has been said). That will have been the expansion vessel, water loss being through a safety valve. relatively easy and inexpensive to repair.

Sloe Gin and a bit of tonic.

Why on earth would the dealer return it to GMK if it just needs lubing?
-
I have also read all the points, and I have to say that it's six of one, half a dozen of the other. Blaser was adamant it was a lubrication problem due to having seen it many times before, others disagreed equally strongly. It seems that in this instance Blaser was wrong. I do also feel that the posting style was indeed a tad arrogant, it came across as a case of 'I've seen it before, this is the problem, everyone else is wrong'.
-
Interesting, seems it was a manufacturing rather than lubrication problem after all despite all the bullishness.

alan titchmarsh show promoting game and shooting!!
-Mongrel- replied to cumbrian shooter's topic in General Shooting Matters
http://www.itv.com/itvplayer/video/?Filter=327285 Was ok, certainly far more positive than anything else I've seen on mainstream TV although I'm not sure Tanya Faulds did herself any favours by suggesting several times that you should come to 'our shooting school'. -
Question. If you are going to cook and chop these ickle crabs, do you not need to remove the dead mans fingers as you would for large crabs? Are they not poisonous or at least likely to make you rather unwell?
-
Without releasing the trigger. I can see how it would cause more AD's, however, as stated, so long as the gun is pointed where it should be, shouldn't be an issue.
-
You are distancing yourself from game shooting with your comments, and as the game does generally end up in the dealers it isn't shot solely for sport, mainly yes, but there is the by product. You are of course allowed your opinion as I am allowed to comment on it, but at no point did I suggest you shut the **** up. Edit: Just seen the above comment, as such my second line is somewhat less relevant
-
I should add, that my comment about other forms of shooting being less 'tasteful' isn't aimed at game shooters or stalkers. Personally I'd struggle to justify shooting something I won't then eat, as such I have issues with big game shooting. Not something I would do, but as I understand it, most are cull beasts and therfore I can see the reason, it's just not for me.
