  1. Re-grease it when you've cleaned it then. If it's exposed to spray, it's exposed to re-grease.
  2. James Haskell, and who were the two football players she recently did a video with?
  3. Solution? Make a phone call and grass them up! I'm no more keen on the idea than most, but, people have got to stop sitting back, whingeing but doing nothing.
  4. Can see where you're coming from, but unless it's kenneled outside, I'd disagree a bit. My lab isn't kenneled outside and as such has a less thick coat, when we are wildfowling, she will feel the cold eventually, I resolve this by using a jacket. A warm, happy dog is going to work better and also be less injury prone.
  5. This has been done before, and nobody could come up with anything more than hearsay and opinion. Plenty of people, myself included have used WD40 for cleaning and drying purposes with no detrimental effects. Note I said cleaning. For protection, once the gun has been cleaned, it is then wiped over and barrels pulled through with a protective oil, personally I use 3-in-1.
  6. This subforum is spot on as it is IMO. Because it IS a sub forum it keeps it a litle bit more under the radar and also away from the forum eejits who troll Off topic/General shoting matters all night long. So far, this has remained unnervingly sensible, it is GREAT to see, long may it continue!
  7. Is that the best way to recover my dues and retain my SGC?
  8. I used one called Toothy Pegs, across the counter too, held together for the 4 days it took to get to the dentists.
  9. No problem: 2nd Portal on the right, Purgatory, Nr. Heaven and Hell It should get there OK.
  10. For goodness sake!!! You're not helping!!!
  11. Not yet, to be honest, I've approached the CAB in the past with less than satisfactory results, I think they have their strengths, business advice may not be one of them. It's been a long time since someone has annoyed me enough for me to even consider violence...this guy is really getting to me at the moment, DON'T PUT IDEAS IN MY HEAD! Would that not be better coming from a Solicitor? It is kinda where I was thinking of going next.
  12. Long story short, I recently changed job. It turns out that the business owner didn't like me and, rather than concentrate on the quality and quantity of my work, he rang me at 7.30 one evening with the words, "I don't think this is going to work, it's a clash of personalities, I'm letting you go...with immedaite effect!" ie no work tomorrow! I should point out that I'm a self employed gas engineer and was working on a sub-contract day rate basis. He owes me 7 days labour. He hasn't paid it yet. I have emails that show the addresses that I was instructed to work at, and if necessary could re-visit the properties to attain statements confirming my presence and what I was doing. Additionally, I was registered with the main contractor and had a security pass issued and was also put on the companies Gas Safe registration. All of which will be fairly compelling evidence that I worked for him and did the work. Bank statements will show that payment wasn't made, although I do have a payment for two earlier days labour that would at the least indicate what the day rate was. I do no intend to let him get away with this one, particularly as he has treated me very shabbily throughout proceedings, he is an arrogant **** who seems to think he can do as he likes...not to me he can't. Any legal eagles or educated laymen able to suggest what else I may need and what the next steps should be? I'm assuming this is Small Claims court territory and that I will endeavour to recover any cost from him as part of the process?
  13. I have a property in Spain, it will be paid for before I'm 60, options will then depend on my finacial position then, its value, and whether I actually want to retire at that point. Either I sell it/rent it for an income, or live in it and enjoy life in the sun. Weak I kniw but the best I have at the moment. I am desperately trying to get back on a level keel, repair my credit worthiness and then look to buy more buy-to-lets with a view to someone else paying off the mortgage and leaving me an adequate rental based income when needed.
  14. For us, £3 a pint of either lager or bitter is a bleeding bargain!!!
  15. Why would you bid £250 plus 18% plus 20% VAT for a Hatsan Escort without a warranty? That's over £350! The newest version is only £400 with a guarantee!
  16. If the Hulls were ok, it does sound like a cart issue.
  17. That about sums it up for me, however, there are occasions when someone posts something (that I consider) to be so utterly stupid or out of line that I can't stop myself retorting! Sometimes it will be sarcasm (lowest form of wit apparently) and sometimes I can be downright rude, occasionally I look back on things and think "Ooops, that was a bit strong!" but I do nowadays try not to argue for the sake of it. I can get drawn into the occasional retaliatory spat as well. I am pleased I have found the ignore button, it's a select group in my 'ignores', but their absence makes my browsing time so much more pleasurable. But you have to remember that this is internet land. It's not serious! I feel that if you aren't big enough to take some stick then you shouldn't dole it out but, it's unlikely to be life changing. Many people take forum life WAY to seriously.
  18. Hang on, I'll get the magniying glass!
  19. If it's not an expensive gun, I'd paint it with smooth Hammerite or similar. Indeed I resprayed the barrel of my fowling gun, a semi auto Beretta shotgun with high temperature paint and it's been fine for a season.
  20. Not much info yet, but Police have shot and injured a man allegedly armed with a shotgun... http://www.itv.com/n...lice-in-sussex/
  21. Just you wait my friend, your time will come! The older you get, the less choosy you can afford to be...unless you like cold nights alone that is.
  22. Looking for recommendations please... I need new safety boots, they must be light, comfortable, water resistant and steel toe capped. I also need new trews, requirements are hard wearing, multi pocketed with knee pockets for pads. Cost is an issue here, I don't mind spending 50 quid each or so, but that's about the limit, 150 quid boots are not an option. What do you use and recommend?
  23. People in glass houses and all that. Open forum, free country, if I choose to make comment then so be it, whether you like it or not. As for your visual difficulties...didn't stop you reading the comments ok did it! BS at its best. Oh yes, and as my final comment, I believe resorting to insults is the usual tactic of those without the necessary mental or literary weapons to compete, I've not been proven wrong yet and suspect I won't be this time.
  24. Anyone fancy giving a brief synopsis of what's involved? I fancy doing something more but am not sure what to do.
  25. I have absolutely no idea! I think the blonde would get it...maybe the brunette too, but the song and vid in general are garbage!
