  1. Welcome to the forum from just over the border. You can't be far from castle ftc?
  2. Welcome from another in God's county. Where abouts are You?
  3. I had my interview with Derbyshire about a month a go and he turned up with my new certificates.
  4. I completely agree. I apply exactly the same rules to both my rimfire and 243. Make sure the bullet has a backstop I can see and is safe, make sure I identify my quarry and be aware of what is around me and my bullets flight path.
  5. Thanks Walker, that is what I assumed. If they turned down a variation for 17 it would be ridiculous if I could go with a 243. That's just bizarre, how can they justify That?
  6. With regard to the piece of land to cover all calibres, my piece of land is cleared for 22rf and I have 243 for stalking which was granted for paid stalks, so no specific land attached. I was granted open status a few weeks ago. Could I ask for a 17 centrefire for fox on my permission? The ground isn't cleared, but if licencing said no I could use my 243 (I have aolq).
  7. Thanks leadwasp, I found that article very informative and useful.
  8. Sorry to jump on the thread. I don't reload but it's something I'm thinking about starting for my .243. What are the pressure signs you should look out for?
  9. Which rfd is this? Sounds a good place to shop.
  10. I'll logon on there later and take a look thanks. Ha ha ha! A time machine would be very handy. Maybe that way I could afford one too!
  11. I really like that camper. I'm 6'1 so the extra height would be really beneficial for me. I also like that it's a bit different. You have a great job. One day I will own a splitty and be able to do the work on it. What year is your customers samba? Is it a 21 or 23 window?
  12. I'm sure my yeoman doesn't look like that. I'll have a look in my cabinet in the morning. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will come along and help you out.
  13. Stop it!!! I really want a vw. I like the kharmann ghias too. That camper looks fun and practical.
  14. Definitely a bargain in that condition. Good luck with the sale.
  15. I'll look forward to seeing them. I'm very jealous. A splitty is my dream vehicle. The closest I've got is borrowing my mates late bay!
  16. Do you have any photos? I would love to see it.
  17. I think it might be a yeoman rather than a number 3 as it has pins rather than screws but I'll happily stand corrected. It looks the same as my yeoman though.
  18. Welcome to pigeon watch. I don't know about a syndicate but there's a nice clay ground not far from the plank and leggit.
  19. Where abouts in the East Midlands are You? I had a good stalk with Mike Dickinson from Carlton Moor range and I've booked another with him. I'm sure he would have a rifle you could borrow. He's on the Derbyshire/Staffordshire border. http://www.caltonmoorrange.com/
  20. I put my renewal forms in mid December and my feo rang me today to arrange my interview. I'm happy with that. Derbyshire have always been good when I've dealt with them.
  21. Hornady whitetail 100gn for £22.
  22. AYA sxs yeoman Browning 525 I really fancy a double barrel .410 if i could find a cheapo one.
  23. Happy New year everyone!!!
  24. Hi mate, it's a private message. If you click on my user name it will have a send message option. If you could do that with your address and I'll post it this afternoon. Just put in whatever you feel it's worth. Cheers, Leigh
  25. Thanks oowee, that's good to know. I might push my luck then and try to argue for a small CF. The land is suitable with enough back stops and I have a couple of high seats.
