That's the way to go Shootingegg, I do most of my rabbit shooting at night I was out last night with my hmr.17 rimfire with my NS-wolf on it in bright moonlight, in a good ambush position near to a hedge in shadow so bagged x6, easy shots out to 150 yds bunnies are mostly nocturnal feeders because its much safer for them less predators around, apart from crafty humans with night vision gear!!!! yes nv is the way to go ,so much fun as well!!!! atb brian ps, let us know how you get on!!1

It sounds like this is a night vision ambush job ,get youself a nv scope from DaveG on here then get in position just as darkness takes over i use a camping stool and tripod shooting sticks and my nite site wolf nv on my fac ,.air ---.22 daystate airranger @37fpe, you will have to do a lot of target shooting with the nv because ranging at night is difficult unless you have nv laser range finder which are available on ebay for bunnies on my small permissions i use my daystate huntsman .20 at 11.5 fpe which is good for out to 50 yds., .177 cal is good for nv shooting because of the flat trajectory . atb brian

The Daystate Huntsman Classic gets my vote, my Huntsman Classic in .20 cal is these days my most used sub 12fpe airgun,its consistant, ,accurate, nice flat trajectory with good impact power.,out of 100 i give mine 99/100 . atb brian

Hi James , The air arms S510 in fac .22 cal also worth looking at is the Hatsan range in fac these are good value , the FX is a excellent gun but very pricey do not go near the hw100 in fac . atb brian

I Have owned a Rapid .25 at 48 fps it was a great gun , but i was persueded to sell it i now shoot a .303 Wolverine @100 fps, mainly for fun , a daystate airranger .22 at 37 fpe very widely used and for NV use my .22 Cricket 26 fpe which being a bullpup is great from a vehicle or ambushing,as far as calibres go as stated by others its ACCURACY that counts every time. atb brian

I have the compatto tactical in .177 its a cracking good gun , the mags are much better than daystates and easy in use, i use my compatto with my nite site wolf nv its great for night time bunny bashing. imo its well worth a look. atb brian

The Hatsan range of airguns are great value for the price i have several in my armoury , the AT44-10 .177 tactical is a fine accurate airgun certainly as accurate as my HW100,, do not be put off by negative views of some people these airguns are very good IMHO., and i shoot all makes of airguns. atb brian

I also shoot all manner of guns ,but my favourite guns are airguns which give more fun and satisfaction, my latest one is on its way the Kral Puncher in .177 so we will see how good this is. atb brian

I use a r8.22cal its great value for the money, its a bit heavy but that suits me , as i shoot off tripod shooting sticks, it a very accurate gun, taken rats, rabbits ,tree rats, with it, overall its a great gun imo. atb brian

I have shot one, Dekers , seems a good gun to me accurate as my rotex r8 which i am well happy with, well worth the money imo, my R8 shoots as well as much more high cost guns which i own a few of!!!perfectly good gun the Coyote. atb brian
