  1. i think two flapers will work a treat especially with crows and where pigeons are already shot or wary. on swathed rape they usually want to feed and dead birds on cradles or simple floaters are more than adequate in my experience . a good bit of field craft and getting there before anyone else is more important IMO
  2. yes mate, same round here. also swathed rape layed in rows can become wet which does not always dry out, therefore costing more for the farmer to dry
  3. very nice bag there mate. good shooting. well done
  4. as a buyer of a new build house, this really should not be something for you to wory about. tell the builder your concerns. i doubt that the guys who fit the meter and introduce gas to the property will happy with this either. raise your concerns and tell them you want it sorting. you are well within your rights. any gas fitter could pick numerous faults with this picture.you will soon hopefully be far too busy shooting pigeons
  5. you right there pal, its the longest part of packing up, searching around for them. if i can encourage one of the kids to come i get them to pick up the shells and pay them £1 for the privelage
  6. i would think it needs re positioning. it will have to be connected to a gas meter at some point, which will take up more space. liase with the builder and gas supplier to get it moved imo
  7. nice day then mate. i look forward to these sort of days this is what my hide looks like. the spent shells are outside the hide all to be picked up at the end
  8. cheers mate, yes the gun is lovely knick for its age. for sure its been tarted up at some point and had the barels blued etc, but i can't believe how tight it is. it just clunks shut and the barrels are like new inside.
  9. cheers swiss, i missed that gun from donny, wasn't quick enough this one was fom hull. hv no4 through left barrel of this baby and mr fox is going to sleep
  10. cheers for the advice mate. i've got some eley grand prix hv no4 they pretty good too.

  13. hi guys, been looking for a cheap sxs to walk along side the combine and drop some foxes as theres more than a few about. decided to get a cheap gun as not to get muck and dust on my other guns. went to look at a gun tonight and was pleasantly suprised. picked up this gun with 30" barrels choked at half and full. it is tight and no pitting the barrels have plenty of life left and best of all i gave a grand total of £130 and it fits me like a glove. the gun is made by midland gun company birmingham and london. B) should sort some foxes don't ya think

  17. very nice offer mate. i am not desperate for it but would gladly take it if you need a home for it. i am fond of these guns as i srarted my shooting on one. i would gladly put some money in a charity box or something.
  18. i wonder how long before the thread gets locked. sad really same old about a guy who's not here to defend himself. roll on harvest time then hopefully we can all get back to shooting pigeons and posting pics in this section
  19. my butcher gives me £1 for head shot gutted rabbits. he sells them for £4.00. i'm happy with that we all have to make a living and it helps to keep the local butcher in business. my rabbits are shot with airgun so my profit is ok too and it saves the rabbits been chucked on the muckheap.
  20. well done fella, nice shooting between the showers. glad you apreciate one of the many benefits of an aga cooker,
