GB firearms consultation launched
steve_b_wales replied to Conor O'Gorman's topic in General Shooting Matters
I've read it, and given my opinion. Hopefully, it will be worth something. -
Lidl are selling the fishing bags again. This time they are a lot bigger and sturdier. Ideal for cartridges etc. Priced at £24:99. This is the one they are selling. https://offers.kd2.org/en/gb/lidl/plJEa/

I double checked and it is 118 (Freesat) and at 18:55 not 19:00. Hopefully it will be good viewing.

Tonight at 19:00 on channel 118 (ITV4+1) part of the program shows how shotguns are made. Worth a watch I suppose. It's on at 18:55 not 19:00 as I mentioned.

If using the Silensave, the hot gases 'bake' the spray onto the metal surfaces. Tests have been done to prove that it works well.

After cleaning my moderators, or when using a new one, I spray 'Napier Silensave' inside it. It's supposed to protect the internals.

I have purchased sample pack/s of the above. These are .217/5.51mm and are 21gr / 23gr / 25gr / 27gr and 30gr. If anyone is interested in trying them in their FAC air rifle, I can provide 15 of each weight. Price is £10 posted. I paid £21:00 for them.

UPDATE 3 & 4 I had another email earlier this morning from 'Dale' and the 'company' stated that they were 'honest'. I replied, 'Of course you are, and I'm the Pope' Another email just arrived from 'Dolly' who apologised for the 'delay in them delivering my package' and they would 'like to offer me a small gift in appreciation of my custom'. I've pointed out three times that I've had a refund from my bank!
-
I bought sand and dried it in the oven!
-
UPDATE 2 SInce I've had a refund off my bank, I have emailed the 'company' asking them the whereabouts of my order. I had a reply whcih was full of apologies together with the same tracking number. I then replied, calling them all the scamming *********** going. A reply to that email was again, full of apologies again and offering me a 'gift'. I replied once again with a few 'words'. I'm waiting for another email off them.

Thanks. I had a chance of 100 .338 Lapua once fired cases, but the deal fell through.

He went and ordered a new Hawke scope yesterday morning!!!!
-
I'll ask my mate later today as he was looking for a scope. If I don't get back to you then he's either got one or doesn't want it. If you get a sale in the meantime then no problem.🙂👍

Personally, I wear disposable gloves. A bit warm in this weather though, but they work and I can also feel my rifle trigger etc.

My wife and I, while on a mountain walk last year, stopped for a break. While sitting down in a grass bank, I noticed something in the grass and it turned out to be a Weasel. It was my very first time of seeing a live one. I've seen plenty of Stoats though.

I have 10 bottles (at present)for sale: This lure has had excellent successful results on even the most wary of Foxes. A little goes a long way. Either spray some on bushes/grass etc, or pour some on rags and place in an airtight container, then just remove the lid at your chosen spot (it last longer this way too) Price is £14:00 per bottle which includes 2nd class/signed for postage. Two bottles can be purchased for £27:00 if delivered to the same address.

Does anyone reload for the above calibre?
-
An excellent offer, well done.

An excellent idea. What speed does the decoy return?
