  1. Spot on Mice. I think a lot of comments made on this forum are made due to total ignorance of the subject.
  2. You maybe surprised Centrepin that they are not paid for all the hours they work. If you worked out the hours they do work quite a few of them would be on minimum wage. Your third comment is very true, but surely that is due to the youngsters going to University straight from School. At what age would you say they are of some use, gained life experience and now have that common sense, would you say 30-40?
  3. What price do you put on the occupation that is educating the future generations to run and work for this country. yes you are correct a small percentage in all occupations are lazy and useless. But surprisingly they seem to get away with it.
  4. Maybe that answers your question LB, the teachers spend the first couple of years teaching them to talk first before they can start to give them an education. The issue lies with the parents quite a lot of them have had kids but not are not prepared to put the hard work in to turn out a decent child. They didn’t know that after conception there was more to do. out of interest it sounds as if your Mrs is in education, does she agree with your original comments, just interested?
  5. Great call Dougy, just watched it, brilliant and very emotional, what a lovely bloke and with all his marbles. I dare anyone to watch it and not shed a tear.
  6. Thanks for that lloyd90 absolutely brilliant, really enjoyed watching it.
  7. Similar grounds to myself. Mickley Hall is definitely in its own little niche in regards to shooting out of sheds on a few stands.
  8. Which grounds do you shoot at Westley. I have just noticed you are in Lancashire?
  9. I tried the XS but the comb was too high for me. But yes for me the Prosport was a better choice over the F16 and the 692. I think the additional weight helps steady he Prosport.
  10. It’s on £320 at the moment with 7 days to go, this should go for between £800 and £1000.
  11. I too couldn’t get the hang of it, part ex a 692 because the engineering of the Blaser was lovely not a sharp bit of metal anywhere. But the F16 was too light and slim, the gun was all over the place, so got rid for a Prosport. still not hitting clays mind, but I am a bit more stable when I miss😂
  12. Just ask for washed sand, this is a bit more gritty than your red building sand.
  13. Thanks for the heads up Neverforget
  14. So was their air capability totally under estimated or did the Navy estimate so many ships would be damaged and sunk including killed and badly burnt military personnel. Just an honest question as I enjoy reading about war and battle history. But would be good to have an insight from someone who was there and part of it, I have only ever had the chance to discuss the Falklands with ex Royal Welsh lads. regards Apologies what is the third image, can’t quite make it out. thank you
  15. I do remember them, I had the ASI rangemaster, if I remember correctly it was £29 out of the Kay’s catalogue, you could also buy from the same catalogue a single barrel baikal for £49, it was posted to you in the post no need to rfd in those days.
  16. Dougy you are exactly correct, it’s for splicing rope, every merchant and Royal Navy seaman would have one.
  17. Hi Philscar do you know if you can use plastic wad? thank you
