  4. The machine asks the caller to verbally identify themselves and then asks them to press # If they press hash , only then does the phone ring out, (has been silent so far) You pick it up and it plays you their name, you can then ignor or pick up You are given an option to add this caller to your preferred list , next time they get straight thro If you chose to select them to the blocked list, they never get thro again, the phone remains silent when they call So in effect you build up a list of people who get straight thro, and a list of those who don't even trigger the ringer, simples The main thing is , it works
  5. Silly old me...... I thought you were saying hello to ' everyone from Scotland '' ignoring us from England Then I thought about it and realised your are saying 'hello' from Scotland Welcome, from England , I think Only joking..... Welcome!!

  7. Yep, have to agree, perhaps Autism Now before you get too pee'd off, Autism is a gift, he is on the scenic route, he is taking a different path, not a better or a worse path, just a scenic route. Tap into what he wants to do, Xbox, then play xbox with him [in moderation!!!] Soldering an electronics kit.....then solder with him Space museum... then have a day out with him Etc etc etc If he has no friends, YOU need to be his FRIEND, don't push him too much, remember , you are on the scenic route, its a slower road You do need to find some one to guide you, try via the school, there are loads of help groups/charities Autistic people seem to be good at spotting other autistic people so a group will help with like minded people and may help make friends Remember his feelings, he probably isn't having the best of times, so you can make a fantastic difference Oh..... and don't forget............., your'e not on your own, and he's not the only one

  11. Ok we agree, patience is required N
  12. Point noted, but how can you justify snail overtaking? It only benefits the selfish actions of one vehicle, and then only makes the journey seconds faster, but the rest of us who are patiently waiting for the fiasco to end...............
  13. Snail overtaking by lorries just seems plain selfish to me For the benifit of the lorry drive blocking the lane by snail overtaking (going 1or 2 mph more than the other lorry he is passing) for miles and miles, everybody else is delayed, waiting to continue, bunching up, ............ Bang If it takes you longer than 30 seconds to overtake, you're not safe to proceed, Rant over, sorry As has been said, dashcam

  16. Yep Built the 'mega shed' 3 years ago [almost a barn ] Laid a 6m x 4m concrete base, take your time and make it flat! Used 50mm x 100mm to build the frame Second hand double wooden doors from a garage conversion, via eBay Bought 24 pre-made roof trusses Covered the whole building with a breathable membrane Roofed it with a synthetic slate Clad the whole thing in black feather edge Estimated it would cost £1500, ended up costing nearly £3000 Use the councils web based guide to see what and where you can build, the rules changed in 2008 [ I had to move a wall one meter, half way through ] Buy a chop saw and nail gun [first fix] Enjoyed doing it enjoy
