JD140, sorry to hear your are not getting on with them. It may be worth puting your magnet further away from the decoy pattern, we havent had any experiance of them shying away from it but you will then catch the flight lines and still have your decoys to dring them down that last little bit! In our experiance the 2 dont need to be too close together. If not pop them on a bouncer and the more subtle movement may suit your pattern better. Old'un, we still use dead birds too, there are a lot of people looking to make their kit as light as possible/may not like tha hassle of keeping dead birds and to them the pro-flaps suit, as we have always said its each to theri own and one shooter will love a product that another hates!

Its Aimee from A1. I had to post (sorry!) as i work a border collie shes rising 3, she picked it up after watching one drive and 10 mins training to 'get back'. I've also trained her to stop and come with the whistle the same as of fully trained lab, currently training 'lost' so she searches a specific area. She has the most powerful nose and has often marked birds that all the labs have missed. She is very fast and i honestly would go for it, get them use to guns at a young age. Most loyal and obedient dogs. People say they only work sheep and they aren't suppose to be seen on a pheasant shoot (yes i get some bad looks and comments) but they can work brilliantly, now i get "wow she actually works a collie" I beat with her too! :-) I have a video on youtube of her doing a long retreive on her second day pheasant shooting. She'll sit and stay and won't make a noise (that took some training as shes very eagar) She will go in all types of cover unlike of lab which will happily stand and watch. I personally would never get another breed of dog, she does everything I want and i've had collies since i was a tiny kid. Each to their own though, my other half would only ever own a lab and thinks they're to mental!

I have tried to source UV paint everywhere and no luck so far! We found a company in America but they only wanted to supply it in huge containers! :-(

Supply and demand im afraid folks! We kept getting asked for them and got sick of saying that we don't stock them. Part of the thing we love about pigeon shooting, one decoy that someone swears by another shooter will brand as the worst thing ever! We try to cater for everyone's preferences, If anyone has any suggestions for bits that we may have missing from our range then let us know, if enough people ask then i makes sense for us to give it a go!

If you want to save yourself the hassle, we do Crow Socks (like the pigeon photo socks but just plain black) now that slip over pigeon decoys to make them look like crows, you can then revert them to pigeons if you ever need to!

+1 for the CTEK chargers, i have one and i think they are spot on! We dont stock them yet but we are hoping to in the not to distant future.

Hi thanks for your purchase! The little rods screw into the end of the v-section to spike the bird on, to be honest i don't use them myself, just fix the wing spreader about 6" down from the tip of the bouncer and mount the bird on that bit of bouncer instead, I personally think it holds the bird better and is less of a faff! The next batch wont be having that little rod and screw hole in, not a stupid question at all as everyone asks it, your certainly not alone! Hope this helps

Hello guys, We are on the MK 2 now, we had people asking us to make a lightweight one for ages and the samples we made and tested all went well. We had a few from the first batch(mk 1) that were not up to scratch and couldn't deal with the weight of dead birds. We tested it exhaustively then on decoys only and it went well so we sold the last of that batch for use with decoys only. Not ideal but we made the best of it and any customers that were not happy we exchanged them for our PIGTELE model as Ghosthunter states. After lots more testing we the the MK 2 lightweight out now which has a larger more powerful motor in it, and can now happily cope with dead birds. They are a little bit more than the standard 2 magnets because of the way the motor is it has been be a whole different class of motor, If you are really worried about weight and have to walk to your chosen spot every time they are great but if you cn drive there we would advocate going for the cheaper Heavy Duty or PIGTELE models as they have been round for years and are absolutely bombproof!
