  1. No thank you, I take no part in killing things for pleasure!
  2. The organisations might be encourging a voluntary transition from lead, but do the people who shoot lead projectiles at their quarry, want to shoot something else which is not as efficient as lead and is probably more expensive?
  3. For those who have not seen this.
  4. Videos like this one, rather than a how to do it format of BASC videos.
  5. Is it correct that BASC have a recording studio? Why are they not using it and putting things on you tube like TGS do. TGS do more for shooting than any organisation in the U.K. I'm finding "our" organisations woefully weak to spend money to fight legislation when they need to.
  6. https://markavery.info/2016/07/26/guest-blog-john-swift-chair-lead-ammunition-group/ Does anyone trust BASC today after this? I went back to this from 2016, why do shooters keep giving this organisation money?
  7. I remember the James Burke programme on TV about The Green Paper, he was walking around the studio with a revolver in his hand. Funny how some things stick in your mindπŸ™„
  8. Very true, A few years ago the owner of Blackpool Airguns bought a bungalow quite close to where Blackpool Sporting Clays have their shoot, I then found out the the shop owner was then trying to have the shooting ground closed down. I posted this on BBS any no one believed it but it was on the internet for all to see but the vitriol that was directed at me was terrible 😁 Anyway Blackpool Sporting Clays are still shooting there they just built a bund in the diretion of the bungalow.
  9. They joy of getting old I presume πŸ€”
  10. They are a very underated shotgun and extremley well engineered with good balance compared to some other brands, who supply weights as their guns are not that well balanced, especially those which have very hollowed out stocks and I don't know why their stocks are so hollow πŸ€”
  11. Zoli's are a slim gun and a lot are a bargain compared to other brands 😁
  12. I went to Scone once thick mud due to a lot of rain, never went again. Lowther used to put a good clay shoot on, Penrith club set the targets, which had a lot of variety and was a good day out. If you shot there admission to the rest of it was free, you just walked through a gate. Happy days πŸ˜„
  13. Malmo guns will most likely have a used one in stock. Simpsons of Newmarket will sell you a brand new one for Β£23.
  14. I sent them an e-mail Tuesday morning I recieved a reply an hour later saying they are trying to have the issue resolved as soon as possible. They thanked me for taking the time to report the issue to them πŸ™„
  15. Easiest thing to do assuming the gun is muzzle heavy is to put some weight in the butt to alter the balance.
  16. It was good the way it was, too complicated now πŸ˜’
  17. Malmo Guns have a box of s/hand recoil pads, they might have what you need.
  18. Malmo Guns have a selection of s/h chokes not too expensive either.
  19. Kelbrook used to have a good selection of stocks for Salvinelli shotguns.
  20. I recently bought a Zoli Kronos and as you say it is a quality gun, very well finished inside and out. I was happy that the balance of the gun is smack on the hinge pin at 8lbs 4oz. It's the only gun in recent years that I've not had to put about 4oz in the stock to make it feel good to handle. It's the softest shooting O/U I've ever owned. I used to shoot a 9lb K80 which was quite soft to shoot but the Kronos is excellent, it's just a shame the "trade" does not like them. I'm not bothered about the resale value either πŸ˜ƒ
  21. True story, I only go there about twice a year, it's a waste of what could be the best ground in the area.
  22. I agree about Westlands, I try not to go to Crabtree on a Saturday as it's normally very busy, I like going on a Wednesday. Coniston has regulars who shoot DTL and Skeet but it's quieter after lunch. I went the a fortnight ago they actually changed the targets on three stands, it was two years ago when it was last changed 🀨 It's worth becoming a member there if you just go once a month, you'll save the cost on clays. 28 pence if your a member.
  23. Looks very good, better than the one I had in the late 80's. I used mine a lot until a friend wanted to buy it even though the ejectors were over riding the empties.
