  1. Mr Poon used to have problems when he was using a Mercedes car.
  2. Probably, we can be hard work you know, a bit rough and ready 😄
  3. Hey up, I don't use the safety catch on guns, I cannot see the point of them 🤔 And my backup gun is a 21 year old Beretta 391.
  4. Our club secretary blew a few of his guns up with "hot" loads, I'll not mention his name though 😳
  5. Years ago I was shooting PP1 at turning targets the bloke on my right was shooting a revolver and I knew for a fact that he only got one shot off and the last target, we were told to clear weapons which was followed by a shot from the shooter on my right which just missed my right foot. He was asked to go and never came back. When I was nine or ten, a mate's dad who was a fishmonger who dealt from a Thames van, a bit like a mobile shop really, always had a lot of money at home kept a loaded Luger in a drawer which we used to pick up, luckily we kept our fingers off the trigger
  6. I bought a funeral plan from the Co-op a few years ago, I'm sure it was £2100 for a cremation but you can specify what you want. The price is going up all the time and I would advise anyone to pay for what you want now, then that's it. Much better than £10 a month as advertised on the tele. I hope you were joking, because if you don't have enough money your children will have to pay for your funeral.
  7. One thing that struck me when Hamilton started the "knee" thing, why did any of the other drivers join in? For years I always though he was a decent bloke, just based on TV and you tube, but no more since BLM, my respect for him has totally gone as he's waving the racist flag on the World stage.
  8. I was there yesterday and it was very boring as a shoot but it was good to meet up with some friends for a natter. The grouse butt was closed due to one person who bought a farm not very far away from the ground, the same person had three stands shut down as the noise of the shot faced his farm. Game shooters should be given a life long ban if they use more than 28gr, which they do, I've seen piles of empties in a stand and sometimes in a bin. How many more stands will be closed I have no idea but more should be done by the management to catch the idiots who use heavy loads. I shall be going to Paintmines more often, it's a very good shoot and much more interesting than going to Coniston, but I will miss the bacon and sausage bun though.
  9. https://classic-motorbikes.net/manuals/20-c-villiers Here's a free one http://www.lamaneta.org/manuales/manuales/Villiers Manual Motor Mk 10D 125cc y Mk 6E 197cc 7952.pdf
  10. Malmo used to have a bucket of old pads including trap pads off Miroku's give them a ring.
  11. I used to shoot at Braidwood before it was sold to Bisley, the Christmas shoot was really good and you were served a three course dinner for free.
  12. I too like shooting here, there's a good variety of targets and the no birds are becoming less. The staff are friendly too' Off up one day next week 😀
  13. I wish that the Inflex pad would fit the Pro Sport as I think that they are better than the Pachmayr pad. The Beretta micro core nearly fits though.
  14. The thinner one is 20mm, but I don't have a spare one.
  15. That's the internet for you, who knows the truth, I could say "I have this car in the garage and an expensive gun" but who really knows?
  16. The thread is about the Yildiz Pro, not any make 🤔
  17. You need to do a bit more research on the Yildiz Pro before you post such a sweeping statement which is untrue😲
  18. It was the latest version of the Pro Black with the newer stock shape, I've had a Kemen and a Renato Gamba which are very similar but I just did not like it at all.
  19. If he buys one make sure that it is the latest model with the palm swell and adjustable comb. There are guns out there which are new but not the latest Pro Black, I bought one in May and found the build quality very good and the overall finish was excellent. But it kicked me a fair bit and I found that I did not like the grip so it went. Spares are cheap, I bought two extended chokes for it £20 each, through Malmo Guns which is where I bought it from. Old model https://www.guntrader.uk/guns/shotguns/yildiz/over-under/12-gauge/pro-black-200110155950004 New model https://www.guntrader.uk/guns/shotguns/yildiz/over-under/12-gauge/pro-adjustable-stock-grade-4-200710133609005 The angle of the grip is more like a clay gun on the new version, the older one is more of a game style grip.
  20. I don't live in Kendal now but this is adjacent to the A6 https://www.campsites.co.uk/search/campsites-in-cumbria-and-the-lake-district/kendal/kendal-camping-and-caravanning-club-site
  21. Fair enough, but the content they produce now is very good for free.
  22. You can actually watch on You Tube, videos made by The Gun Shop. They don't take money from shooters either and I'm sure that they do more for the ordinary person than what BASC achieves.
  23. I find the videos that The Gun Shop make one of the best things on YouTube, they cover a lot of different subjects from clay shooting, game shooting, steel shot and various subjects involving game keepers and land owners. What does BASC do, any thing?
