  1. I have seen information (but don't know if it is correct) that DuckWater has amassed a personal wealth in excess of £5 million Your comment - award favorable national contracts - he has been very successful in throwing money at consultants - a lot of money.....
  2. I hope you are on about the school years and not an actual position!!!
  3. So, a little bit behind on the Masterchef and watched the pre-final last night at a restaurant in Denmark last night - well I am sorry - both my wife and I said we would prefer to eat at McDonalds - and we don't eat at McDonalds. But what was evident, was the message that was being pushed - banging on about the climate and environment. This after Doctor Who 60th - which has been THE MESSAGE..with a loose storyline around it. Mind you it is funded now by Disney (another crown jewel sold out) I feel that the BBC is really advanced in its death throws, anyone else feel that way?
  4. Has anyone got any recommendations - It is something that someone close to me wants - been looking and it appears that a good one is the Phillips Pasta Maker 7000 - has anyone got one???
  5. 👍 I have no issues with facts (as has been posted earlier) but do want to throw in that the son in prison is adopted....I also believe that the sins of the son or father do not flow either way. I am also glad he has gone but I am concerned about what will replace him.....
  6. How very true.... Ask the likes of Budweiser (light), Gillette, Disney (and its subs) - they are all virtue signaling like there is no tomorrow - why? To get their ESG scores up and get funding from Blackrock and Vanguard....
  7. Funny - that reminds me of what is happening in this country currently.......
  8. I will personally write them a cheque - one person to one slave payment - but it has to be in the name of their ancestor - fully proven that their descendants haven't benefitted from them ancestors being slaves - and they must have a valid bank account in the name of their ancestor to cash it. Oh, failed at the first fence because if they hadn't been taken into slavery - those descendants would not exist...therefore they have benefitted!!
  9. Remember, if voting had any effect, they wouldn't let us do it!!!
  10. Both young ladies will be in my thoughts tonight - horrific for both in different ways 😢 When reffing a comp - I had to reprimand someone who was putting cartridges in before getting on the peg - who had previously been military - but only a pistol carrier (if you get what I mean). Had an instance at a registered sporting recently - the young woman had shot both barrels but turned around with the gun still closed - my range voice made an appearance and she quickly faced the right way 😞
  11. Well, it has "closed down", perhaps Pontins got an offer they couldn't refuse....
  12. Insects can be fast to breed - limited space and will give them the maximum profit available - while "them" will be eating Wagyu Beef..

Could that be the Parakeets that have forced them out?

You only have to look at Parliament to confirm that

This was supposed to be an apprenticeship role - for me it is a case of no relevant degree so has to show that he has the aptitude for the job - and would expect him to get regular, hefty payrises when he moves up to junior, and then to DBA....however, not my problem now. However, he was officially unemployed - not recruited straight from Uni I just took umbridge at the total blinkers they had towards recruiting only graduates, when there were people within the company, and also more than likely non-graduates - who could have filled the role with more knowledge - be it business or technical..... One of the best guys I have known technically - had an History degree......

Runcorn Bridge was another place for it - they used to use it to spend the night - became a bit of a problem and they done something I believe to stop it

There used to be a big one in Swindon - right over the OASIS and BT Northstar - My car got absolutely covered when I had my car for only a day or so from brand new. I was going to wash it when I got back home, however my Dad died the next day, so I had to go there and when we went to the undertakers and was dealing with arranging the funeral, their car guy decided to use a waterless cleaner on the car to get it off - swirls galore on a dark blue car - but hey ho, I had other things on my mind. Would love to know if that was still happening. We do have a small one that happens occasionally with them going in trees across at the school

The company that I am just leaving has just recruited a graduate - the ones that were coming with a "relevant" degree were not right for the role (they wanted to be Data Scientists etc) so the company then went to recruit someone with a degree, and recruited one with a Maths degree with very little applicable knowledge to the job and took him on at 27K - way too much for a trainee but he had a degree - and I could have found better more than likely from a job center - without a degree
  19. Nothing Not even this - all the Cllr would have to do is say he felt threatened/harassed-no matter how polite I was - and NWP would be knocking on my door before you could say “boo”
  20. Very nearly sent an email to Mr Bithell about his views but thought differently after a minute, as I am in Flintshire/North Wales, no matter how polite I was I would be on edge expecting a knock at the door from NWP ☹️
  21. Whereas it is the opposite approach in the uk. They don’t want cars allowed on the same roads as bikes!!!
  22. I bought a Mac Mini from Costco that has arrived today. My lad has a job doing editing for YouTubers (just started) but is going away to Norway on Friday for 11 days and is going to take it with him as he will have access to a screen and keyboard/mouse and will be the equivalent of his Windows system so he can do some while away i am hoping he likes it and switches as it will reduce his energy usage of his tower!!
  23. Well, went to the local cinema with my youngest tonight to be greeted by this advert on a 50ft screen. Not impressed and will be a complaint going in with the company tomorrow - it made me feel 🤢
