ive had 6 pigeons in three atempts up to now over the rape having a week off this week me thinks decoying the rape is the same every year for me but one good shoot always pops up when you least expect it still nice to get out.on another day things could be different in your bale hide never work them out thats why we do it

Just keep trying keep farmer happy keep reading shooting tips etc loads on here on setting up decoy patterns etc when they harvest that rape layer in the year I'm sure you will have them decoying then but the farmer needs you there now you will reep the rewards then come harvest time

hi colin if its rape it will be quite leafy probably rape.its a struggle i find every winter over the rape ive got all the gadgets flapper etc ive shot 4 in 3 atempts i paid 80 quid for my flapper on the day they great same as the magnet i wouldnt go without mine im going over the rape in the morning for another go leaving magnet behind thougj to much to carry to far to walk plus muck up to your eyeballs

shot a field each thursday i had 2 out of a possible 4 my mate had 1 out of 1 been out 3 times in the past few weeks plenty on the rape feeding ive shot a grand total of 4 10 out of 10 for effort i say lol.

some good memories there I bet, I'd e happy with 5 on this osr the way its going same every year.

loads on 2 rape field's i shoot shot zilch last Monday another go thursday at them i have to say probably be the same outcome roll on the beans might get a few then.

dont see it no more on my perms had quite a few decent bags over the years on it good crop for shooting pigeons 100%.

There's was no particular place they preferred watched them for hour or so decided where to set up they landed all I watched a good hour or so no particular spot they just landed where ever different flocks soon as one hits the deck within in minutes a flock of fifty always found the rape hard going for years was another one of them days today not one decoyed in 5 hpours

birds feeding all over osr today 2 fields my mate set up on one me the other,tryed whirly flapper full bodied,kept moving decoys etc not one bird decoyed but they landed anywhere apart from where i was both of us blanked nightmare it was peaing down first 3 hours never botherd them they still wanted to feed only thing that botherd them was our decoys didnt come near us.
