  1. Having made my comment above, on Friday, 10 rounds from a new batch and 4/10 split, two quite badly
  2. Hi Rimmie Id suggest reading it for yourself, if you fall foul then ‘ the internet said it was fine’ won’t be much of a defence. The biggest issue is with it ( and it’s not my area of law) is that it’s so open to (mis) interpretation that you need to know why you have interpreted it in the way you have if questioned to stand a good chance..
  3. What for? I have one on my hmr and it’s fine but not as effective on .22 as a SAK
  4. Maybe it’s not a mask, lack of protein affects the complexion..
  5. Some great work here to be fair, when are BASC expecting a decision or at least comment from DEFRA?
  6. BASC should be ashamed of 20% sign up of their own members and 4% of licence holders
  7. Unemployment figures will be awesome!
  8. I’d be inclined not to chase too hard..
  9. Explained in that way, yes you are, and indeed always were under old GL which I think is how WJ forced review as people openly didn’t abide to the terms, or worse sold pigeon shooting for sport in public domain. id venture what you mean is you shot the pigeons to prevent crop damage having tried you best with not lethal control and to avoid waste your wife kindly cooked them for you.
  10. I have both, although in 30. If it’s only for clays and you like it buy the Evo
  11. What are you going to use it for?
  12. https://basc.org.uk/?wysija-page=1&controller=email&action=view&email_id=964&wysijap=subscriptions&user_id=127353
  13. Just checking licence, I’ve put through 1450 round in 2 years, only had one split case and that was a Winchester, I’d guess 1,000 were Hornady and no failures
  14. Great user name for selling this,, 😀
  15. Whoops, hiding in plain sight.. Whats the interpretation of ‘likely to cause’? Can we shoot stubbles or roosting for example as they are likely to cause danage another time?
  16. No protection for cereals...
  17. Me too, I don’t enjoy that either ...
  18. They here is ‘to prevent’ reducing numbers over stubble to protect excessive numbers eating growing crops in spring would be in scope. The crow licence uses ‘to prevent’ meaning we can trap now to avoid damage to poults when they arrive. As with any new law it’s open to interpretation and challenge and the proof will be when prosecutions are sought, I can see BASC insurance being popular... Scolopax, nothing will wind antis and packhamites more than the idea of shooting pests for sport, preventing damage is the only leg we have to stand on, the fact you enjoy it is incidental ...
  19. Same for me, that’s why I’ve had my wooden guns bent to compensate, can’t do that with SA
  20. Hi Try Weatherbys Hamilton, they are an excellent Broker and have knowledge of rural risks
  21. I’m guessing that’s because you aren’t looking directly parallel as with a straw. You would need to?
