  1. mmm, i have a "white lightening 16 gauge and it is on a much smaller action than my previous 525 12 gauge, like you gents say part of the joy of a 16 is the lightness, "shoots like a 12 handles like a 20" i will stick mine on the scales, i have a straight hand version stock with an extension. if that shadow is on a specific 16 sized action that would be a temptation......
  2. Has anyone seen a 16 gauge 525???
  3. Have you got any spare pads for the mounts??
  4. I have just got a new ff6 flapper, I am also struggling with the wing pins, the birds wings keep falling off, did the original points face backwards??? Very very very annoying..... especially with what they cost.
  5. you comin to cornwall anytime soon??
  6. brocolli or cauliflower maybe..?
  7. I had fiddled with most of what i have bought, the pigeons have not noticed how perfectly tuned everything is though........
  8. I took a file to mine, just filed out a flat section on the round bar for the thumb screw to bite onto if that makes sense..

  11. Found it, arrived today. Nice and sturdy, will see how it lasts with my fat **** on it....
  12. I have had similar, i have been informed by two shooting buds who have shared hides that i am a little over the top. I cut branches out of hedges, foliage, roll round bales, two hide nets, sometimes i make a roof etc....have had days where pigeon have almost landed on the hide and other days where the first flick of movement as i stand to shoot they flair off. they are funny things, but all the more enthralling. i am so looking forward to getting back out doing some more decoying. this will be my second full season at it, and every time i go i learn something new.
  13. The wider tyres were just to help with leaving marks on the field margins etc. Lift kit was to add slightly more ground clearance to get over rougher patches on one bad bit of land i shoot over. Perhaps a set of better rough terrain/mud tyre would be better??? any thoughts on the best option. I would never be driving it more than 35 mins on normal roads. This looks perfect!!!!
  14. Morning all are there any jimny pros on here?? I am looking at buying at 2000 reg suzuki jimny and sticking a lift kit and some bigger tyres on it. mainly for something to keep me busy and secondly i need a decoying and shooting vehicle! my skoda cant take the beating or more like i am tired of trying to keep it clean.... cheers ZT

  18. Hi

i would be open to an older dog too. our little boy will be one mid summer when i would be looking to pick the dog up? good advice all round though, with my shifts i will have time to spend with the dog and my little lad.

  19. Good afternoon all Right The boss (her indoors) has finally broken, i have been given permission to get another hound. I have a working Cocker (he is 9) and am after another one. As we have just had a little boy my training time is going to be a little limited, so I am after a part trained dog. I live down in Cornwall but willing to travel to find the right dog. Preferably would be looking to pick it up mid summer, a dog would be preferred. Thanks for any help.. cheers ZT
