The bloke who used to do some of this passed away and the last I heard about the brass was that the scrappers wouldn't take it for fear of there being live rounds in amongst the brass... but who knows what went down. If I do it then it WILL ALL go back to the club. And if there is a loose round or two they can go in a box for the boys to shoot. What did you do? DrySift the tips or wash them out.?

If this is how it is,, a lot of the leaders of the wagner group will probably have accidents soon. At some stage in the power struggle vladmight have an accident. Hittler nearly got wiped out by one of his inner circle. Roll on conspirators

He'd have been better to go the whole hog when they were on the way to Moscow. I wonder why they stopped and what he was offered. Whatever it was its worth nothing now..... if prigozhin has gone. He was an oxygen thief but the crew were lost also.

This sort of shadows how Hittlers inner circle operated in the 30s. Anyone who got out of line or above their station had accidents. It was like a circle of sharks. Ernst Röhm was one who got ahead of himself and was issued with a handgun, one round and ten minutes to do the deed. He didn't, so they came and did it for him. It accomplished two jobs with one bullet... it removed a problem and kept everyone in line. Still everyone knows how that ended. It's all great standing on top of the pyramid but it's a long way down with a bad effect at the bottom.

The sand in the butt's at my rifle club is heavily overloaded with lead. And I mean heavily. I've sort of lumbered myself with doing something about it and I am experimenting with different things. Last week I took a few heavy rubble sacks in and filled three about a third up. That is about as much as is comfortable to carry. I have a small sieve and tried to separate the lead from the sand. This was semi successful but the problem is that at some stage a load of sharp sand has been added so the lead and the stonechips are a similar size. I got a plastic bucket filled with water and poured a load in. I got a border spade and stirred it around so that the lead bullets would migrate to the bottom. I removed most of the water and today I turned the bucket upside-down (sand castle) yes there was a thick layer of bullets that I can shovel off. But this is only a small scale operation. Anyone done this and got ideas. Ps I am aware of the lead aspect of this and have taken sensible precautions.

Oh go on get your trusty club hammer out. You know that you want to. Do you FEEL LUCKY,..WELL DO YOU? Failing that take the crypto currency of your choice and Buy a box of fourteen shorts. You may feel pleasantly refreshed. Edit. My late brother in law gave me one which reputedly dates back to the 1920s. And collected loads of pheasants back when.
-
Very nice. Very similar to my Browning B325 G5.
-
Do you have a hammer available.? 🤣. Now don't be silly... if it's OLD it will be short 2.1/2. Accept it. It's a fiat panda, it isn't a Masserati. It will do what it was designed for, and that ain't having 3" magnums rammed through it. If you somehow fire 3" carts through it, the gun may blow up and maybe kill you. Ps. if it is old then it may well be proofed for black powder and even shooting modern smokeless 2.1/2 through it may overload it. 410s are a high pressure load. A 410 is a lethal weapon

The way to find a smallbore club is to contact the NSRA. The above posts remind me about my time in the ATC. How we had an armoury of 22 rifles and #4s. I had my own #4 that I was responsible for and that I always used in competitions. When we went to the Lydd and Hythe ranges we marched through the town like a small army in 3 column shouldering the #4s 2ith the officers leading the way. How an officer used to bring car loads of wooden crates of 303 rounds. Like on the film Zulu. Us cadets were sent to the officers car and pairs of us carried the crates back to the armoury. There was security ... a sort of shed padlock on the door. There was never anything like there is today. Super days.

What. Most people don't understand is that plain iron sights are far more accurate that big cheapo telescopic sights and even expensive glass.
-
Yes I do. I started when I was in the cadets at school. Then didn't for some years then started again about 1980. I use an Anschutz 1807. What rifle were you using.? That is pretty good shooting considering you are new to it and it will take time to build up the muscle groups. Yes the triggers 0n match rifles are SUPER LIGHT. On mine I don't pull or squeeze the trigger. It only needs a thought. Although the shots on that card look erratic they aren't. It's groups that count. Once you can shoot a tight group you can then wind the sights on. On a fun card it is better to shoot 3 shot groups. It takes a lot of strength to hold mental concentration and physical hold to shoot that many shots. Well done. Looking at that card it's just a couple of clicks down and their in there.

Insurance is something that should be officially regulated. It’s just an unregulated jungle. Usually we change every year BUT we have stayed with Saga for the house insurance for I think is the third year because they have kept the premium the same AND this year it actually went down a few quid. They cover everything including guns and jewelry within the policy with no conditions or query. The vehicles are a jungle. You can't compare any policies because they're all different. I do USE the comparison sites to give a marker price BUT then contact the company. Merkats et al don't do it for nothing. You can get the same cover considerably cheaper by going direct to the insurer and cutting out the middleman. It ain't difficult.

I had someone call me about how marvelous it would be to have a smart meter,, I politely replied that I was more than capable of reading my meter. The dishwasher and washing machine run on economy seven overnight. Simple, control.

So why did the plodd get involved. Surely there is so much anti social behaviour at throwing out time that they could find ten in incidents that would merit attention. The amount of unruly hen parties getting out of control that plod could have assisted the young galls along the road. They could have gone to the local A&E department to separate waring drunks, winos, weirdos and general nutters without having to resort to manhandling a disturbed autistic teen. Still out in Merica they'd have drawn the weapon and shot the blighter. Oh, they do that here as well. We'll there you go.

We used to have an old boy who sort of bumbled along and misunderstood things. It was acomedy of verbal errors. This one is wet, this one is wet,,,,, did you dry these in a rain forest...?

This IS funny. You'll need a tray. You have to listen to this Clip.

Give em a call and request a replacement under warranty. I remember a situation where one was staggering about on the grass verge. We pulled up and one of the blokes got out of the hilux and was going shoot it. The driver of a car going past in the opposite direction saw this and started blowing the hooter. The driver actively drove the car towards the bloke and missed him by a fag paper. The driver was lucky not to get the ounce and a quarter of BB right through the back window.. from several sources. Wa all had our attention on the fox and most didn't immediately appreciate what had happened. The fox slipped through the hedge not to be seen again. A very unpleasant disease.

Following on from the above, recently a person who I have known for about 40 years has been scammed BIG TIME. I am not talking behind his back because he wants people to know how he was scammed in the hope that others don't get scammed as he has. He was sucked in by a total load of nonsense which to him made compeling sense. Anyone with two brain cells would see the fault lines straight away. BUT according to the police there are rakes of people falling for it. It all seems to be linked possibly to an organisation which he worked for some years ago. He has some sort of dormant pension with them and it MIGHT be possible that his personal details were gleaned when the system was hacked. He had a phonecall from the police... not the police... he was told that a person had been arrested for fraudulently using his A/C. He then proceeded to tell the fake police everything about his personal and financial life. He was told to go to his building society and withdraw £4500 CASH and a courier would collect it and take it to a forensic lab to have it checked.???? He then proceeded to GIVE this random courier £18500 CASH from a tin box under the bed jobby the extra day. He worked doing cash jobs and had amassed this over a period of time. He was old school. Building society book.... no Internet online banking for him.... £22,000.. gone... given away... no reclaim from anywhere. Total muppet. A laughing stock...... he knows it... only his own fault...... BUT I FEEL VERY SORRY FOR HIM . Who hasn't made a silly mistake. Who wouldn't feel totally lost if you had had £22,000 stolen from them. The people who do this are heartless scum. The irony of this is that is that he isn't stupid or thick, he's just an ordinary bloke that got drawn in like hypnosis. There are two angles to this, being stolen from and giving stuff away. He's resigned himself to things that he had planned won't now happen. No one got physically hurt. This was stupid because all of that squirreled away money doesn't exist. Even if any of it could be proven and someone caught for it the cash didn't exist. It's gone. Very sad. Another aspect is that anyone who is self employed and works with cash is a fiddler and on the make. The tax inspector told my brother that. The tax inspector said we class you as guilty to start with you prove us wrong.

IF you still use cheques the info is on every cheque that you issue. The bank name, your name, the bank sort code, your A/C number. Having this Info will not get you scammed. It is no different to telling someone your name and address. It doesn't give them access to your home and your wives knicker .draw. should there be one to access. But if you don't know or you think that it might, you are vulnerable to being scammed. Because you aren't aware of how scammers work. More to follow.

But they just haven't got a clue. If we are a mistake like that they'd be down on us like a ton of bricks. They just make it up as they go along. Personally no one has checked my guns ,security or anything for 20 years at least. Yep they've visited but its just been a quick chat.... no tea and biscuits. Just,. is everything the same.? You've got too many guns, you're gun nut,! You don't buy enough ammunition...... well. I reload the ammo. Hmm. Look I've bought thousands of rounds of 22rf. Right. OK the cert will come in the post.. Q ..WILL IT BE WRITTEN UP CORRECT OR HOW MANY TIMES WILL I HAVE TO SEND IT BACK....?.. no reply.

I believe that Kent employ people that have got two arms and legs and that does. I've had certs that have been returned with no ammunition allocations for held calibres. Ammunition allocation for calibres that I don't and never have had. I've had ghost moderators that I haven't got. In one instance a cert had to go back three times because of incorrect additions and other basic but serious faults. AND it's not just me. I've heard this sort of thing from several other sources. Considering the tightness of certificate conditions where you can fall foul of the law for one .22 cartridge, how Can one inaccuracy on certificates be in any way acceptable. They just seem to shrugg it off. Only the other day a retiring feo said that Kent wasn't issuing ANY NEW GRANTS at all because they haven't got the staff available to do the work.!? How can this be acceptable. And what do any of the orgs do about it.
