Is the new owner going to wave this thing around in an agitated manner and exclaim .... They do not like it up em, Capt mainwarring.!

Hmm. A vision of wee Jimmy Kranky in full school regalia being frog matched along. Kicking, and protesting "I have no recollection of these incidents to which you refer". The £200'000 mobile home was dumped at mothers after a demo. I didn't know that we'd paid for it. I'm innocent. I'm innocent.

We did,,,,!!!??? ARE YOU SURE....??? Who signed that off ?? I don't have any recollection of that. Another who has a high opinion of himself.

Their all a load of Highway robbers the lot of them. it's the same as all of the seond hand luvvies like Parkinson or Judith charmers who try to get elderly folk to draw equity out of their homes. Total rip off merchants. Wonga disappeared. Then there was the bloke on sunlife perving down the garden. And he was going to get a new pair of bins with the£50 gift card. Total nonsense rubbish for the brain dead to get ripped off to.

For many years I said to the Mrs that Philipe was a wrongun. I never liked him, BUT that aside he is in a terrible situation now. It is very difficult for US to know what the real truth is... what is truth. I don't think that there was a underage grooming session because the young bloke was 20 when he came to work for the bbc. Any contact before that was him asking Schofield advice on how to get into television via twitter. It is a silly situation where if it had been a young woman.... wrong that it would have been towards his wife, most people would be of the opinion of ,,,,, Get in there my son and fill yer boots. ,,,, that's my boy.!! WHAT I DO FIND A BIT UNTASTEFULL is the fact that all of his so called friends and work mates have all turned on him to save there own misserable skins using the feble excuse of HE LIED TO ME. WAS THERE ANY REQUIREMENT FOR HIM TO TELL ANYONE ABOUT HIS PERSONAL, PRIVATE LIFE.? Does anyone on here tell their friends, workmates, family about their private sex life.? After all what they were doing wasn't illegal. And before the public inquisition takes place where is there any evidence to the contrary. I still don't. Iike the bloke though. Todays headlines = tomorrow's chip wrapping paper. It could be that some of these so called friends and work mates are up to the axles and are trying to distance themselves from being looked at. Would you want any of them standing in the ranks next to you in a war.?

Cash.??? What is theese.? The only thing that I use cash for is the weekly sub at the rifle club. The club secretary gets a tin cashbox out and we pay in. EVERYTHING else is either online, tap and go or nearly all of the time I use the bank app on the phone. I almost see everyone who wants to deal with cash as some sort of tax dodger /fiddler. Businesses don't want cash because they get charged by the banks to handle it if you can find a bank branch. If you stock it there is a security risk and someone's hands in the till. Even at small local village craft fairs the stalls have online mobile banking card payment readers. And you can check your account 24/7, make payment 24/7, and pay direct into peoples bank accounts instantly which they can check instantly. The days of cash and cheques are numbered. I payed the taxi driver with my phone to take me to the rail station. I payed for the train tickets with my phone quick and easy.

Holy moly.! 10. Minutes. At work we had some serious break inside. And generally all we got was issued with a crime Number to give to the insurance and a couple of times they did come out about 3 days later and talk silly nonsense. One plod said that he had only come out because someone was off sick so there was a motor spare. Total waste of space and ratepayers resources. Especially if there was a possibly of caravan club involvement.

I've got a 4 camera 1080p system (Swann) system around the house and like all camera systems it is a bit of a waste of time....because it is very unlikely that you are going to be watching the monitor when events are happening. OK you can review the event and watch the event happen. BUT WHO ARE THEY.....? A plod once told me that some of the shops in town had perfect facial images of shoplifters but nothing could be done because they had no idea who the people were or where they came from The next issue is the positioning of the camera/s. Most people put them high up like on a roof but all you see is the top of the person's head. The next really major problem is that you aren't allowed to film outside of your boundary.... although lots do. This all comes under the data protection act and comes under the information commissioners Office. Most people and businesses don't know or care about this but any video gathered wouldn't be admissible in law and it could result in any case being thrown out. There are rules to follow such as the reason for filming eg security and there has to be a nominated person to be in charge and have access to the material for a limited period of time. The cameras, system and a nominated peron have to be registered with the information Commissioners office for which there is an annual fee. Still it's handy to see who's ringing the door bell. I know all of this because we had a nosy neighbour who set up a camera looking in outbedroom window..... BOTH the council AND THE POLICE said without any thought or reference " YES HE CAN FILM ANYTHING HE LIKES.... UNTIL I enformed them of the rules and subsequently after taking advice plod came round and made him take it down ... with a warning that if he put it back up he would be committing an offence. I did offer the bloke to come round to watch me get undressed but he didn't take me up on the offer. You can cast the footage to your phone and you'd be able to Watch a possibly anonymous person / people breaking or thieving from you. Sad state of affairs.

Down on the military ranges the police were really bad at loosing live ammo on the firing points. They just didn't seem to count how many rounds they arrived with, how many they'd shot and how many they had left and no one picked up any dropped rounds. The army didn't leave any.... we always looked for free ammo.

Yeah but they add stuff on the end of words like a wheelbarrow morphs into wheelbarrow. And a Ford Cortina morphed into a Ford Cortinal. It was a begger.. LIKE. ..... SAID... I SAID.... she SAID. ...CHARLEY BLOGGS SAID. DO YOU FOLLOW..... THE THING BEING IS. .?? Again sport and entertainment for all. They're not doing harm to anyone . And then there are the buckled words like fruze == fuse .... ornaments become orderments dressing gown === dressing gownd. And the TV gives a brutiful film.

Hang on a mo, here. There seems to be a lot of twists and turns on this one. Plod said that there were no plod vehicles on that road at that time.... until someone turns up cctv footage of a plod transit in hot pursuit of a couple of young fellows on 2 wheel transport. Senior plod then says... we're viewing the evidence... to give us time to come up with a cock and bull excuse. When interrogated by the waiting hacks with stupid questions such as ... are you going to resign.? And can the public have confidence in the police.? Plod would not be drawn and skulked off back inside. Now the locals seem to be getting the blame for all the troubles but they say that it wasn't locals and that it was mobile hooligans that came in from elsewhere like football hooligans. After all it was their motors that were burnt out and smashed up.... AND IF they're insured they probably won't get paid out due to the riot and war clauses. Sport and entertainment to be had by all. Edit. Except for those that lost their motors ect and may even get a bill to remove the hulks off of the Kings Highway. And maybe a bill to reinstate said highway back to the pot hole ridden state that it was in before the troubles. Do social security pay out for losses on this scale. Oi don't forget my motor had a full tank of fuel and a brand new set of continental tyres just fitted.

you beat me to it. " Took the wife out (once a month) a few pints and a call in to the chip shop". If I told the Mrs that it was her monthly treat, I'd be looking over my shoulder for a flying beer bottle or a clout round the head with a frying pan. The heavy cast iron jobby. You moan about the price of the chips but no mention about the cost of the pints of beer.

That's pennies. The other day the Mrs & I went for the day to Canterbury for a mooch round during the day and to see Johannas Radibee (strictly come dancing) in concert. ( fantastic show) lunch was in pizza hut. 2x pizzas and 2 cups of tea. ....... £35 walking along the high street there were shops selling cake. A small piece of cake about two and a half inches long, an inch wide and about an inch and a half high...... £5. Cups of tea £3.75... and I mean a cup.... not a mug. If you operated there all the time you'd need about £400 to feed your self + Mrs. Parking costs sky high. I don't know if it's greed / trying to make up losses during covid or true cost but all hospitality will collapse when the weather gets colder. This is indicated by road traffic passing by my house. There are two main bands of traffic. Work/school..... school / coming home. After about six thirty the road traffic drops to not a lot and you can drive for miles and miles without seeing any other cars.

BAIKAL DOUBLE TRIGGER SIDE BY SIDE 12 BORE
Minky replied to thompsn00's topic in Guns for Sale (Private Sales)
Basic but built like a tank. Surprisingly well made to be able to shoot many thousand of the viscous Baikal cartridges that appeared to be loaded with spare powder from anti tank shells and which could threaten passing jumbo jets. It wouldn't surprise me if you could shoot elephant rounds out of it. -
I believe that shooting in all forms will fall for several reasons. The writing is on the wall. When I was a kid, old boys used to ride a push bike through the village with a shotgun tied to the crossbar and a box of ferrets. At end of the day he would dock into the pub, prop the shotgun up in a corner and haul a load of rabbits into the bar to sell to drinkers. Nowadays none of that would happen. When I and my friends were at school we aspired to own a ratty 410 and then a ratty double of some sort and eventually something better but now there aren't many lads who want to go out of the house and away from their phone's. How many women or men would touch or God forbid gut and butcher any sort of game. At my rifle club most of the members are old boys. The rising costs are killing the sport off. And what are the orgs doing to stop the rot of persistent restictions by plod. Right across the board there are restrictions. Ok there will still be the hard-core diehards that keep going but a lot of things will contrive against shooting. I've even had people come out onto the fields to confront me when out lamping . They don't know the land like I do and they don't have the fieldcraft skills but when they can't find me because I've melted they have verbally abused me as a murdering fellow. Whereas I considered guns as tools a lot of people treat them as fashion accessories. In the sport for a while and then gone.

I have an ottoscope, ( optical device to look into ears ) when I syringe my ears out I get the Mrs to look in to see what the situation is. All of this has to be done with care. As for batteries I just send an e-mail and the system sends me an amount out by post. It's the same as appointments. I e-mail and they respond. I don't really see any problem with getting doctors appointments either. It's easy to get an E consult the same day and dispensing to medicines. The whole system is online and when you get to grips with it, it is quick, easy and effective. Today I organised the ability to book appointments and to view my complete medical history. I've just got to download an app and enter my codes etc that they have issued to me.

4 Months to get ears syringed.? that's crazy. if they could look down your ears to see that there was wax in them why didn't they do them there and then.? 5 mins and their done. It took longer to sort out an appointment than to do the job. I do my own.

Whatdi DD EE say...?? Gunfire... engines running in the workshop... other industrial noises.... getting older.. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when HIT by tinnitus. I was out walking.. night shooting rabbits with a mate when suddenly there was a high pitched noise like a leaking air line. It was like having a car accident and forever saying on the first of the first xyz year at X hour I had an accident THERE. I use the NHS service andI personally can't fault it. If I think that things have changed I just send them an e-mail and it's not long before I get an appointment. I don't see how paying a franchise dealer like specsavers will get anyone a better service than I have had. The most recent set that I have been issued are not only controlled both sides on the aide but are linked by WiFi through an app so that I can control each side by my phone. They are infinitely control able for pitch and tone. They are adjustable for direction left to right and front to back. Since using the aids I really don't notice the air line sound. I still dont understand the Mrs though... "Wad she say". She says that I'm like an old dog..... deaf as a post. Though the dog hears a biscuit packet at 50 mars. She says that I can soon understand when someone calls about shooting. AND I can take them out when they have so called music at the pub.! I'm really tempted to ask the landlord how much they pay him to play there.

I completely understand this. My eldest sister didn't fair well with a bad covid attack. She has had to go into a care home and is paying £4500 a month for the privilege . They have taken most of her life savings and are looking at her family home. SO last year's holiday to Tenerife and this year's to Madeira have mainly been paid for by my tax free part of my pension pot. Both myself and the Mrs have sufficient other funds. SO I am going to enjoy the fruits of my labours before some private company dips their hands into my pockets so that they can enjoy my labour.

Well, The Mrs and I watched all of it. This country can be proud of what we as a nation are capable of. It did leave a fair amount of emotion with the ancient ritual. At one point you could see the weight that was on Charles face. He really looked grey at at one point I thought that he looked as if he might throw up. When you realise that some here may say that it doesn't concern them they should consider the hundreds of millions of people from all over the world who hold the royal family in high esteem. When the reporter was speaking to people on the mall a lot of them seemed to come from other countries. AND IF the royal family weren't in that position, who would be. The Beatles, Arthur Scarghill. Jeremy corbin, the spice girls.? What about Keir starmer. OR someone who has been born to fulfil the role as a figurehead above it all, who only wants good for the country and it's people. They say that young people don't care but all four of our daughters, their friends and families were very keen to watch it as a spectacular event full of pomp and pageantry. Two of the youngest daughters friends went up and camped out overnight on the Mall and they are late twenties. AND I didn't mind watching Penny Maudant.

Where could I buy a piece of leather to repair one of my cartridge bags. IT was FULLY loaded and when I picked it up the tab mounting point on the side broke. Just wear and tear and the leather was paper thin. Now I could go and buy another bag BUT the bag overall is still good. it is a solid quality bag that has served me well and carries a lot of memories. It's got blood on it. I have the ability to make and stitch a new piece on both points which could be made double thick which would last me out and more. It is a light tan colour. If I could find a piece about a foot square it would do all of the repairs. I could perhaps hunt down the local Sadler bloke but he is all ways busy and I would like it sometime in the next year.... or so.

The weak point will be the primers. IF the ignite they will do the same as if they were made last year. give the barrels a good clean afterwards.
