At the mo ive got some loaded up with - 14grams of A1. It isn't the most efficient load but it shoots well and burns clean. I could finish off the amount of powder that I have and make up another batch or change to another powder and use the powder on something that would suit its characteristics better. I have a lot of different powders available such as green dot, unique, clays, universal etc,etc. There are the company lists to follow but it's interesting to see what people load and experience. What I am looking for is a sort of traditional load which uses a small powder charge, burns efficiently, kills well and has a low recoil. Not really asking much.

What's your favourite powder for 24grm 20bore load for lead /fibre

This reminds me of one that I once shot years ago. It was in a terrible condition. I did it a favour by shooting it. It was in an enormous flock and I shot the only one out of hundreds, and it was left for the flies. I can't remember all the things that looked wrong with it. It was so manky that I didn't even want to touch it

OK there are two angles to this.. Free speech and the inappropriate time and place. both are semi valid BUT. one thing that will have hit home is the fact that Andrew is a liability to the firm. Charles and others WILL have heard the heckling and he might be on the scene during the funeral etc. But The firm isn't totaly stupid. they'll give him sort innocuous job like cleaning out annes stables to keep him out of the way. He was trying to get a house on the Windsor estate for one of his daughters to be near Granny so that he could keep VISITING. but Charles and William headed that one off and William moved Kate and the kids in so that they could be near granny. all the game has now changed and Charles has the reins and he has already vowed to slim down the family. On the box tonight there were members of the public who were just holding up white sheets of paper as a mark of protest and apparently plod was stopping that. !! Personally I don't think that the bloke who heckled Andrew will get anything because they won't want that being made into an anti cause. The twerp has been taken out of circulation and its all yesterdays news.

Shame that everything is so far away up north. I don't think that anyone down south ever gets rid of anything.

You mean that your not using 42 gm #4s though super full choke fitted in a 32 in multichoke single trigger 10lb o/u. You do realize that if your not using the aforementioned weapon that you have absolutely no chance of hitting anything AND there is a high chance that the recoil will cause you to be set on your rear. 😁😆

What's the latest on this one.? Has the chippy been trashed. Is the woman currently unavailable or out of the country. Is she back frying tonight, although it is Monday. ? If I we're resident in one of the adjoining shops I'd be camped out there in case someone decided to torch her place and burn me out also. In some people the feelings run high.

😃 what about tar and feather.? Or hanging drawing and quartering. Any of these stills on the books.? In a lot of countries she would soon disappear. I expect that plod got her away to avoid a more serious situation developing. It may well be that further action may take place. BUT she's had her say and she continued on to be a no one. Mental issues no doubt.

There is the right to free speech that we hold precious in this country and although this person's behaviour is both stupid and disrespectful she has the right to make a complete fool of herself. On the other hand there is nothing to stop the local residents getting a Rota of locals to stand outside of this shop with placards alerting potential customers of her total disrespect for her majesty and the royal family. Let's hope that suppliers refuse to supply her and the business capsizes and disappears without trace along with her. Lots of mental issues out there.

It doesn't look good when the family are called to her side. Only the other day someone on here commented about would Lizz Truss be the last PM that would shake the Queens hand. I'm sure that everyone in this house wishes her the best and the family are in our thoughts.

What did people think of her speech outside no 10.? I don't really remember what she said. I wasn't really paying much attention to the speech. I found it difficult to concentrate on what she was saying.

You might have to digitally make your images smaller to fit on the forum. E.g. your picture might be 15 meg but you might be restricted to 5meg so the image has to be reduced. Try to upload and you'll get a message if the image size is too big. If too big go back and you should get options such as keep original size or make picture smaller. Play about until the pictures will upload.

Click on the image.. select copy to clipboard. ... come onto the forum ... create a new post or go onto an existing one. Select add then right click and bingo. Er, I think off the top of head. Others will correct me.

yesterday I saw a clip of her constituency party officials backing her to the hilt. they were glowing in tribute to her rhino like skin and her comitment to get things done. a hard worker for the cause. Does she take a lengthy time,? Will Rees Mogg have his hand on her back steering her, And she can always refer to Cincinattus about the path forward. time will tell.

Well. I went through 3 casts and now I'm in the boot. the movement is improving every day. For someone that was pretty agile and active it is difficult. the whole of my life is very different having to rely on others and having to think about 4 moves ahead to avoid problems. She.. My person has been an angel and just wants me better so that we can go and do things as we did before. I feel very tired and physically drained a lot of the time. This little escapade has really made me think about how we will cope as we get older and what modifications to the house may be necessary. such as a walk in shower room instead of a bath etc. This has really been an eye opener.

When I go on these junkets, I usually take 4 different guns of different types and calibers. I am spoilt for choice in the gun room. It's a bit like a woman in front of the wardrobe trying to decide what to wear. 4 different guns 4 different calibers all fibre. Probably I'll be so knackered that I think this time I'll limit myself to 1 caliber and 2 guns. And limit the cartridges to a couple of hundred. I can always regulate by going on the button for the others benefit. I also have to consider my person who will drag my kit on and off of the field for me. I don't know if he is any good at piggy backs. Perhaps there's a wheelbarrow available. 😀😀😀😀. I spoke with my host friend about the supply of clays and he said that he'd got 16 boxes in. So we'll be ok on that front.

Thanks for the replies. The shoot is a very informal one at a friend's. He has a tower and has rigged up a multi stacker in a building, launching from an upper opening door. We don't have positions or pegs and there is no pull command or scoring. It's more like a sort of royal flush. As the birds fly they are randomly shot at by anyone who is loaded. Sometimes you go to shoot and the clay breaks just as you were about to shoot. Sometimes you shoot exactly the same time as another gun shoots but surprisingly you automatically know who actually hit it. The person who is on the button has to pay attention to the line and the situation of reloading. The ideal is a constant flow of clays over the guns without launching clays when everyone is reloading thus wasting clays. This goes on until either the clays need reloading or the guns are to hot to hold, no one has any cartridges in the bag or people want to shoot a different gun. It's brilliant. No one gets ratty about anything because there isn't time. If clays get partially broken someone else will shoot the bits. It is quite easy to knock through a couple of hundred cartridges and many boxes of clays. We have a few stops for pickups but not many get through. Good shots. Afterwards there is tea, coffee and hot jumbo sausage rolls. I will ask son in law, who I am going with to ger my gear to the back end of the lines so that I don't get overloaded or I could sit out there just behind the middle of the line on the button and keep the barrels red hot. Because of the surgery I have been inactive for a couple of months and I soon get physically tired. I expect that I will soon fall asleep on the way home.

I've been invited to shoot informal driven sporting clays this weekend but I'm healing from an Achilles tendon operation. I'm in a boot and intend to shoot from a seat. I'm reasonably confident that I'm not going to damage myself and I have help in getting there + equipment. Does anyone shoot from a seat of have any tips for shooting from a seat. I'll give it a go even if I have to just be a spectator. Better than being left in the motor like a dog.

You didn't enlighten us as to where and when the **** was on so we could avoid like the plague.

I've got a B325 that I completely dismantled and cleaned. It is pretty simple to do if you go about it in a systematic way. Clean clear area on a sheet. Containers to put things in. Take a million pictures as you dismantle to refer to. As to what went where and in what relationship the bits fit. Don't panic and don't start using a hammer or throwing stuff about. But.. you'll be ok. AND mine all found its way back together.

New or s/h.? eke is a lot of gun. You've only got to look on here or guntrader and you can't give guns away. I was in a shop recently and there were a couple of blokes who asked if the shop bought in guns. The answer was a definitive No.! 5he assistant showed the blokes a big rack of guns that appeared as in New condition. The assistant said that people would buy new guns but no one wanted S/H. Shooting has changed. When I was a kid you started with a ratty sb 410 and then went on to a ratty 12 and eventually something better but now guns aren't considered as a tool,, more as a fashion accessory. That's why the shop had a rack of what looked like new.... S/H guns. And as for SbS they just aren't in fashion. That's what I said about a fashion accessory.
