But we can understand them a bit, unlike Geordies, Scousers and worst of all the Scottish from the Glasgow side. Rob C Nesbit style.

Now this is an angle that hadn't crossed my mind. I am aware that in the event of any sort of accident that plod gets involved with, that they just remove the camera chip and tie a label on the camera that the chip has been taken for evidence .?? This is why I previously stated about either not having a front dash cam or removing it before someone else does. My camera supports vehicle speed, acceleration , deceleration and yaw and side slip. Now if some bright spark looks at. the data on your chip and you've been doing 31 mph in a 30 limit when the accident happened, you might find that you are charged with speeding when it had got nothing to do with a vehicle ramming you off the road from the side. everyone thinks that the dash cam is their friend but this may not always be the case. Insurance companies will use anything like unauthorised modification to avoid paying a claim. Even though it has nothing to do with an accident.

If liberals come canvassing at my door I show them the dog. they soon realise that they aren't welcome. the dog doesn't lie.

The main thing is to find a permanent live so the camera is always powered up in standby mode so when another vehicle backs into yours the camera reacts and takes footage of the vehicle that bumped yours. I have fitted two cameras. one front and the other on the back. To a degree the back one is more important because the front one will only show if an incident is your fault. and in the event of said incident plod will immediately take the chip and use it in evidence.! I fitted them when a mate was driving along and someone going the other way dropped something in their car and wasn't looking where they were going and ploughed straight into the from of my mates car, writing it off and injuring him in the process. Matey blamed my mate and made up a fairy story and then disappeared off to Spain to work out there. It took a long time to get to the truth and resolve the issue. you always loose out on any claim.
-
So why do you need Halfords to fit it.? It isn't a very difficult to do, and all you've got to do is look at the existing setup. Save £55 and go shooting.

I'm so glad that there are still some of us out there who have the equipment, the knowledge and ability to do stuff like this. All I get told is... GET RID OF THIS JUNK !!! To which I reply.. IT"S ONLY JUNK UNTIL YOU NEED IT OR YOU WANT ME TO MAKE OR MEND SOMETHING FOR YOU.!!! To which I would also add... I've still got XYZ £ in my pocket... You've got jack in your pockets. I know that there are limits to what you can horde but it always seems to be a case off .. a week or two after something has been thrown out that you need a bit of it and then have to go out and but what you just threw out. Ps. it's nice to know the dimensions of the pins for future reference. I did have a Mainspring break on my No. 4. right in the middle of a day. Undaunted I carried on using the left barrel.
-
Good man. At £24 for a replacement pin it would have been cheaper to buy one or even two guns at auction and dismantle/ scrap for pins, springs, screws, extractors, beads. Ejector springs... in fact everything that isn't a pressure bearing part.... so how sticky was the firing pin.?
-
I would strip the mainspring out and reassemble without the mainspring then use a screwdriver or punch to push the hammer forward to feel the firing pin operation. I would strip the firing pin out to inspect if it was clean and operational and that the hammer was free to move from the cocked position on the sear to the point where the hammer could hit the back of the interior action. Sometimes problems like this are just a build up of general stuff. .... powder, dirt, dust and bits of metal shaved off of the cases. I had a similar misfire with my Browning 325 G6. I cleaned everything out and the problem was rectified but I don't know what was the cause. But something changed.

If you TV is pixelating, consider getting a new aerial system. We bought a new 55 inch LG and set it all up and we had a less than new picture with pixelation and crck sounds like someone throwing stones at the window. We had a roof aerial running through a freeview box. After checking the signal strength. I looked up at the aerial and noticed that the bar had become separated. I either had to get an aerial contractor out or do it myself. After pricing up the options I bought a freesat box and installed a dish down low on the house where I could work on it at ground level. Problem solved. The new TV looked like a new TV. The pixelation was no more and the cracking noise was gone. Go freesat. Put the dish down low where you can get at it and the birds dont use the aerial as a launch springboard and the aerial isn't twanging about in the wind . It's easy to fit up and align the dish.

If you get on the Tramadol you'll need a corkscrew. Get the paracetamol and ibuprofen into operation before you feel the pain. Have you got the arm in the blue nylon arm sling.? When I had mine done it was the summer and my arm got very sweaty in it so we used a large triangular bandage for support. That worked well. Have you been issued the arm exerciser. A nylon strap that goes over the top of a door with a pulley, cord and two handles.? I do remember that there were lots of things that I had to have her help with. You just don't know how difficult it is trying to do things with one hand. Getting in and out of bed. Getting dressed and undressed. Eating. Try cutting your food up one handed. Going to the toilet. Try getting toilet paper off of the roll or dispenser one handed. You might need some intimate assistance. This went on for weeks. AND it's a good job that she can drive.
-
Edit. Having the above Injections is akin to giving someone who has a flat tyre, a pair of ear defenders. And telling them to keep driving. In my case the doctor actively promoted the injections and they did remove the pain and I was given an injection about every 3 months. This allowed me to do what I had been doing BUT when a new sports physiotherapist doctor came along she went absolutely didlo. She said that when the surgeons have to work/repair jobs like this it is very difficult and makes recovery so much longer and the end product weaker. At my 3 month review my consultant showed me some pictures of the operation and where the tendon should have been attached. The tendon looked like a bit of ragged rope. After a year I had full movement and strength, being able to reach right up to be able to scratch the back of my neck. I do have an issue in as much as when I lay in bed I get a sort of nerve pain in the upper arm and shoulder joint and I have to put the arm across my chest as it was when it was in the sling. The good news is that there is no problem in shouldering a gun and no problem with recoil.
-
I had a situation where I couldn't lift my left arm higher than horizontal and sideways movement was painful. The tendon was torn like a bit of freyed rag. If you really have a torn tendon , It's not a case of... I'll work through it or I can't afford the time off work because it doesn't get better. If you had a broken leg it ain't going to get better without medical repair. All you'd end up with would be a crook leg. All I know is that it was a serious operation. They tried to do the job via keyhole but the damage was too extensive and the shoulder had to be opened right up. I had a cut scar about 5 inches long. I was out the same day and the wife drove me home. I had been injected with nerve blocker to hold the pain under control and was issued some heavy duty pain killers ( Tramadol) . I managed to get away with paracetamol and ibuprofen. My arm was fixed in a heavy duty nylon sling 24/7 for some weeks. Sleeping was a bit difficult. I was told that I could drive when I felt able and confident. BUT it was more a case that the arm didn't function. To help with this I was issued a gadget which was a nylon strap that was fitted over a door which had a pulley ,a cord and two handles. This was pulled (slowly and gently) by the good arm which pulled the damaged arm up and down. The pain was high and the movement was minimal to start with. I have a fairly high pain threshold but I found the deep tissue healing took it's time. This is not an operation that few days off work will do. I think that after a month to six weeks I was reasonably able to move the arm. but I couldnt lift the arm /hand up onto the gearstick. After about tree months I felt that the repair was fairly strong. The surgeon told me that after about a year to 18 months it would be as good as it was going to be and that the tendon would be securely healed to the bone. A word of warning.. overload the repair too early and you are likely to need another repair operation which could take a long time to repair and it might never get back to what it could be. The body told me what I I was capable of. I think that I was able to pick up my 20 Berreta after about 4 months. You may want to get back working and shooting but your body WILL decide what you will be capable of, not you.! Ps. Don't allow you GP to give you Corticosteroid injections . they camouflage the pain but if you carry on working the damage gets more serious and the repair is more difficult. Leading to an even greater healing time. There ain't an easy way around this Problem.

The impact looks odd. IF the projectile hit the wing and skidded along , how did it chop a hole in the door.? The projectile hasn't perforated the wing and given the skid mark the projectile would have glanced off past and then away from the car door. ...was it a 12 gauge.? Years ago I saw a test of a slug fired at a car. The projectile went through the outer wing, through the inner wing, through the engine bulkhead, through the dashboard, through the drivers seat, through the rear door liner and nearly ripped the rear door lock and handle right out of the door. !!! I thought that a hand gun had been used. In a built up area an aimed charge of 36 grms of #3 would have been more than adequate without taking out the local population.

Have you all sent your energy supplier your current meter readings?
Minky replied to TIGHTCHOKE's topic in Off Topic
Took the readings today will send tomorrow. I also changed the tariff to hold the lower price when the price goes up later in the year. There's a lot of understanding to do. -
No. Simple. They are supposed to be trained but under stress the training and common sense go right out of the window. Anyone who has stood forward on a fox drive know that some.people can and some never will. This is why there have been so many people killed in police shootings. It's no different to the macho culture in the police that has allowed so many serious crimes to have been committed by police personnel. To go unpunished. Some forces can't sack personnel fast enough. Where is the picture of the bullet impact on the car .

There'll not be a problem. I expect that There'll be a lot of people out there who can't or won't watch the match.

Even if we do win, it ain't good enough. When the ship is about to founder, the captain needs to take effective positive action in a timely manner. Not stand there wringing his hands and pursing his face.

This is not about politics at all. It's just a factual observation. I live in an area that has always been Conservative. In past elections there have been virtually no labour posters. An odd Liberal poster and quite a lot of Conservative posters and placards in front gardens. But this year it's all changed... loads of labour posters and flag banners.. the odd Liberal poster and placard, but virtually zero Conservative posters. Strange.

Roses.l. we have a rose bed in which there're roses that are over 50 ÷ years old. some about 30 years and a few which are couple of years. I can honestly say that when they are well they look great and smell great. Some years aren't so good. We've been to a lot of gardens that I haven't enjoyed because the roses are just pastel and don't have much if any scent. In Winston Churchills garden at Chartwell the roses are very pastel and the roses are changed out about every 3 years. The most disappointing was Kew gardens. The rose beds there were a mess. All of the roses needed a serious dead heading and virtually every rose was covered in blackspot. Roses need space, plenty of water, loads of feed and a constant watch for blackspot which needs to be sprayed for and ALL diseased leaves removed and burnt or binned away as sun as it appears.

So what are the Democrats going to do.? Carry on and take a chance on Joe.? Find a new replacement candidate that is a safe pair of hands. Is not a crook, not a liar, is not a sex maniac and someone who is reliable under pressure. Or is the roof of the building going to collapse and kill them all. New game. Perhaps they'll be a lunatic gunman. God help the world if trump gets into office.

Only a month ago we were in the village of Masca which is where this lad was last seen. I can shed a bit of light on what it is like there. There is a small road that runs through. The road has probably 45° degree slopes with very tight hair pin bends that the coaches have to do 3 point turns to ascend the next level. This is right on the edge of massive drops into very deep ravines and looking up to VERY STEEP rugged mountains. It is not a place that anyone would walk into or out of without being trained, equipped and knowledgeable of the terrain. What I can't get my head around is that this lad walked past houses and inhabitants. Surely anyone would ask for help. He is supposed to have called a friend to tell them that he had fallen and cut his leg, that he didn't know where he was he had missed the bus and his phone only had 1% battery left. With the intense heat and humidity, the option of walking out is a non starter. If you thought of doing it you would struggle up the first incline to the hair pin bend and you'd turn around and go back to the village. If you collapsed you'd either be on the road or over the side down into a ravine. But the mountain side of the road is a vertical cliff of rock the ravine side of the road is segmented BIG concrete blocks solid enough to withstand a car or a coach impact. If you went between the blocks you would fall a LONG, LONG WAY. IF he's there he will only be found by the dogs or the flies. I hope that someone picked him up and he's partying somewhere but i don't see it because of the extreme terrain. The flies have it, the flies have it. The searchers weren't exactly trying very hard and we're just wandering about but the terrain is the killer. I don't think that he'd be holed up in the village because there's only a few houses there.

I don't believe that the performance is related to how much they get paid and to a fair degree the performance is more related to pride of performance. What I do think is in poor leadership. How is it that the fans and even the pundits want certain other players to start but the managers stick with the same old same old. Lack of leadership.
-
Excellent. Exceedingly more productive. I could have fitted a new carbon on my strimmer. That would have been more productive. Still at least they're still there. But I'm not happy. Still it's only a game.
-
Half time... poor. 70% possession hardly an attempt. Just poor. No plan just basic.
-
Still we (the English) are on stage tomorrow. AND they have to get stuck in straight away and kill. There can be no excuse for lack of performance or power. No excuse of the players look tired or anything. GERMANY PLAY TO WIN and so do the other top teams. Anything less than a top performance isn't acceptable.
