  12. NOW SOLD £85 for job lot posted to mainland UK including: Neck turner tool body with cutter (£65), Power adapter(£31) , Power adapter handle (£16), Press adapter (£16) All you need to neck turn your cases by hand or with a normal power screwdriver - just add a calibre specific pilot (£17) and expander mandrel (£17) available from 1967spud.com I have pilots and expander sets available for 6MM and 6.5MM for an extra £20 per set. Full instructions and setup videos at: https://kmshooting.com/learn/ From the manufacturer: "The K&M neck turner has a very unique cutter adjustment mechanism that allows for a very precise cutter adjustment. This design incorporates very fine pitched threads of a screw within a screw concept which yields 0.002” cutter advance for each rotation of the adjustment nut. As a point of reference and comparison, a micrometer advances the spindle 0.025” for every revolution of the thimble. There are etched markers on the neck turner body around the circumference of the cutter adjustment screw hole placed every 30 degrees radially and as a reference, there is one punch mark on the face of the adjustment nut. When the adjustment nut is rotated one increment the cutter advancement is 0.0002”. You can drive the cartridge with the power adapter and proper shell holder by hand when the handle is installed or remove the handle from the power adapter and insert the ¼” hex stem into a cordless screwdriver."

  14. Hi all, my first post on here so go easy! Firstly to set the scene, I have shot my whole life, having had an extended break for a decade due to lack of money, and recently got back into this wonderful sport and purchased a new ATA O/U 12g which I am very pleased with. Years gone I dabbled in loading my own cartridges just to make basic shells, nothing fancy but did it just because I enjoyed it, so I have very basic experience in reloading. I have recently acquired some really good rabbit/pigeon/crow land which is near horse paddocks. The 12g scares the horses too much, so for fear of loosing the land I am wanting to see which hushpower options were out there. I have ruled out .410 because of the cartridge cost and limited availability, also quite frankly my shooting isn’t good enough in my opinion to operate a .410 to its full effectiveness. Also the load-your-own equipment for .410 would make it cost prohibitive as far as I can see (?). So this leads me on to the larger bores, 12 or 20. The Mossberg offering of both of these is far too heavy, I’ve tried both in gun shops and just felt far too unwieldy. So I guess my question is... Does anybody have any experience or thoughts of a basic pump action (e.g Hatsan), with a Hushpower removable moderator (the one where you send off an extended choke to them, £180 from http://hushpower.co.uk/Gunroom/SG_Hushpower.htm) and then also my ability to produce decent subsonic 12g which actually kills out to a decent enough range but remains at least ‘fairly’ quiet? Thoughts please from anybody with any experience in either reloading subsonic 12’s, or indeed anyone with a larger calibre Hushpower shotgun! Thanks in advance Jim

  18. Firstly, Happy Christmas all! Until this weekend I had no idea that 'reloading' was even a thing. Since discovering reloading I've been looking at videos on youtube of the process and wondering whether it could save me money. Some questions: 1.) Is an explosives certificate required and if so how do you complete the form? 'Aquire' only or 'Aquire and keep'. And which powder do you specify? 2.) How economical is it to reload 20g cartridges (for clays)? How much does it work out to be on average? 3.) Are there any local people/clubs I can go and learn from (in or around London or Essex). I am already aware of F.E.S & and TFSA. Many thanks in advance.

  22. Hey Guys/Gals quick question Been doing a fair amount of research regarding recipes for shotshells and it would appear that our cousins across the pond make tapered hulls and wads which are much more powder efficient. Question is, do we have a source for AA hulls and wads in the UK or Europe that isn't a complete rip-off?
